I was looking for a 4 BTC loan but before I could even enquire I was given negative remarks and downgraded I am not going to let this phase me as I know I am better than being petty and giving people who need a chance to ask.
As many of you know there was a strange scammers sickness that went round late last year I however missed missing along many of my investments.  I unfortunately had an allergic reaction to a medicine prescribed to me and I was hospitalised for 2 months over Christmas.  I am not here to gain symathy as I know it wasn't anyone's fault.
Well there is a little back ground I am looking for a 4 BTC loan to fund me and my mum who is now my part time carer to go to London to finish of my interviews for work. I have managed to raise a little of the money however I have been unsuccessful so far.

I was hoping to progress if it suits the investor to got through a local P2P lending site so that the loan is legally notified, this also means you can decided the rate however I was thinking 180/4btc/4% which is about 5.3 BTC your end 1.3 BTC profit.  If you are interested please contact me here or easier on Twitter @wsleather

I will look forward to hearing from you!

Regards

Also yes I do realise that the market is very volatile at the moment however there aren't many places round which will give a handout to someone in my position, thank you for asking

You are a newbie here and nobody will loan you such a big amount.. Especially with no collateral... If it is a scam attempt it's really a clumsy one ^^

Yeah, it's not you. It's the history of scamming here. To get a loan you are going to have to do a few things. First and foremost you will need to provide collateral that is valued higher than the loan principal amount. So for 4BTC at the moment you will need at least $1200 collateral.  That could be a car title, a property deed, something? You should have a signed contract and an agreed payment plan. Of course if you default you will lose the collateral. Bitcoin is real money and these are similar terms to what a bank expects because the same risks apply.

well it seems i'm not the only one in this position. ppl here love to flag as scam without even asking a thing.
by the way RodeoX if you use and P2P lending site both are protected not only the investor.
By example on the page i use the investor can see the chance he has to lose his investment:
APR   30.19%
Expected loss   3.44%
Expected APR   26.75%
this is what appears on my loan request

Sure, that will work too. Because you have a new account I was unsure about what you know. I personally do not give negative feedback for asking. That seems wrong to me, but since 95% of loan requests from new accounts are scams some people have just become fed up with it.

You might want to consider setting up an exchange account anyway. Loans are a risky and expensive way to get BTC. That is especially true if paying back in BTC. Suppose the price rises 30%?

Well no idea regarding the op but in my case the traditional loan system doesn't want to help me or the interest is even higher than by loaning BTC, the disgrace of not owning an house or car.
Anyway let's return the topic to the OP, if you want to talk with me we can do it on PM's Cheesy

Sorry to bump an old thread, apologies if I'm doing the wrong thing.

I thought it important to post in case this user ever tries to get a loan again

He has several loans at btcpop that have defaulted and been sent to collections with a total of approx 6.45BTC.

Profile is https://btcpop.co/Profile/442/HunterSthompson

Btcpop profile shows the same twitter handle that he has mentioned on bitcointalk.

Once again, apologies for bumping the thread but thought it worth it for this info.

OP, care to share a bit about this allergic reaction to medication and what that has to do with the loan?  I don't happen to believe you, but I'd like to hear a bedtime story having to do with pharmacology.

You're not going to get your loan here, sorry to say.  We're really, really, really jaded as far as sob stories go, but I'm sure there are still some suckers here who will eat that sort of thing up.
