It IS fishy how the exchange came up with that many IXC though i agree !
And it does not lend any cred seeing it hidden running like a BTCe.

I'm just gonna leave this here from the DigitalCoin.Co | Secure. Established. Active Development | v2.0 Released! thread:

Interesting price movement, or better non-movement. I like what I see.

Have you not noticed the trend yet?

Bitcoin consolidates, alts get a breather.  Bitcoin rages to the next level, alts get crushed another 50%.

How many times can alt coins continue getting cut in half before they go to zero?

Answer:  Forever.

//DGC IS ONE OF THE ALTLEADERS!!\\aside from the stability and usefulness of digitalcoins we have a good group of competent individuals behind it!..i'm buying and adding maybe i'll flip out some at double but i'm planning on saving some DGC as a long term lotto ticket!  Wink e-z bud!

When do you expect DGC to double given it gets cut in half, along with most other alt coins, everytime Bitcoin makes another move up?

Seriously, unless there's a plan to mitigate this Bitcoin effect then there's no way to stop this freefall and the CryptoAve plan will only give DGC so much support and maybe a temporary bounce.

This Bitcoin pressure is too much to handle and it will drive most alts down to zero unless a plan is put into place.

It saddens me to come here a beggin', but does anybody happen to have an extra dick laying around not currently in use? I fuckin' just jack my off outta its socket.

>> Are you telling me decentralization is better for scalability/performance at this point? Def not. Also interesting you are first for keeping IPs private but now you want a P2P forum?

My previous post is a set of ideas for theymos to think about, while he studies PHP and that "new" Javascript ...  Shocked
He can pick something useful from it...
as he tries to stay behind of time and progress, he maybe will accept some ideas at least  Roll Eyes
So it looks eclectic and messed dish just bcoz i feed  conservators Tongue

>> Well for some people it's just about usability. But an optional option to only do (automatic, not manual like now) recovery by signing w/ a specific addy would be cool.

yes, would be nice to have different options for password recovery, tweakable in profile,
with safest option set on by default.

>> Not storing IPs def will be bad against spam / trolls / etc.

My point was : to store IPs and other sensitive info ( emails too ) in special separated storage, preferably in member's browser.
I did not say : "never store IPs !!!"

>> Seriously, "don't use passwords" is easier said than done.

Yes, not easy. But why cant we have a choice : power members can log in with keys, bitcoin addresses, good wishes etc AND just members can log in with passwords ?!
It can be done for sure.

>> Performance of decentralized forum software at this point will be very shit AFAIK.

the same will  be true for Epochtalk i guess. which is alfa, unaudited engine.
My point here was : if theymos will stuck with traditional approaches,
he will lose community due to aftermath of next hacks, social engineering "accidents" etc.
BTW we are now on Romania based hoster.
are romanian front desk guys safer when it comes to social engineering, than NL based ones ?! Tongue

Thanks for the heads up Gleb Gamow but do you think that is connected to Cryptsy / Vern etc ?
I think what i am seeing here is you exposing the hidden figure(s) behind the pile of missing Cryptsy IXC.
So if i talk out loud here with this i think i am seeing what appears to be a connection maybe.

What i gather is not very many exchanges held much IXC coins..
So when a new exchange pops up with a plausible amount that Cryptsy *could* have had..
There may be a link from Vern / Cryptsy to this new "black" exchange and it's secretive owner.

Did i follow that along ok guys ?
Good work and thanks for the efforts Gleb !

Always good to see Vlad too.. i like that guy Wink
And no i don't think he is Vern or any part of Cryptsy aside from being an older user there.
Cryptsy is where i met Vlad and we had talked to him lots before.
I always struck Vlad as a sincere descent guy.. i'd vouch for him.

But it looks like we see a vortex spinning here firing out bits of DGC links etc.
There is no shortage of Drama with DGC (Digital Coin) either  Cheesy

Regardless it was all interesting so far and i owe Gleb yet another BJ hahahha
..have your people contact my people !

Not sure if that's an insult or a compliment.  I also predicted that DGC would go $1 within 1 year and it hit around $.70.  At that time DGC wasn't even trading at a penny.  And most alts will get killed soon, I have no doubt about that, although I think DGC may survive longer than most.

You totally lost me.  Who is this guy and is he in Romania?  And what's DGC got to do with it?  Wasn't that baritus' coin?  I remember DGC having some good investors and once baritus left it remained a pretty legit coin.  Add some color.

And sorry I couldn't give ya 42 BJ's for your research, I'm always late to the party.  lol

Edit:  just read your other posts but I've never heard of these people.  I have no idea how you find these people but it scares me.  lol. Try and find me a physical address in Romania if you can.  If there is one.

@RoomBot
Yeah i meant that Wink
I can't type very well and i switched keyboards again.
So it's been challenging for me last while to talk / type Sad

But.. No one is a Saint.
I just think players in crypto should make their next project etc better than the last.
And in some case this means.. NO next project.
Profit does not bother me it's what people do for it that does sometimes.

Has Vern started another exchange after the China operation ?
I should hope not.. i expect him to retire from the game at this point.
(If he is not making things right with his past customers)

Not sure i believe in God but i think doing the right thing bears fruit.
The drive to my Crypto commentary is this..
Doing the right things will put money and so much more in your pockets.
FAR MORE than taking the scammy road.. i really do believe this to be true !

Karma is real.. no matter how it works.
I don't support the death penalty and always believe in rehab no matter how remote the odd's.
I say that because i know the type of people who see me comment span from criminals to saints.
I don't care about people being perfect just try and move forward in a constructive direction for your own sake and all of ours.
Patience and perseverance!

This topic has largely been about who is the good / bad guy related to Cryptsy.
And its not an easy answer sometimes.
Since day 1 in Crypto i was faced with moral dilemma's which i never seen coming.
All of a sudden a good man may be faced with the decision of running with the money.
I have to admit i WOULD be tempted !

So i will wrap up my ranty sermon and hope Gleb can take it from here.
I think we need some clarification on what he meant (not sure my earlier summary was accurate)

And Vlad..
You better hope BitcoinEXpress does not get wind of this DGC drama brewing LOL
You should know he STILL has a hard-on for Baritus / DGC.
AND !!!
Vlad you alluded to "Bringing Cryptsy back" waaay back after they went down via PM to me..
I am not THAT forgiving.  Cheesy

@Spoetnik,

I remember BCX liking DGC but didn't know he didn't like Baritus.

I totally agree that the honest road to profits is the best, even though it takes much longer.  That has always been my stance although temptations are always lurking.  Like you, I too WOULD be tempted to take the easy money, albeit, so far I have been able to say no.

As for bringing back cryptsy - I have said to bring it back publicly.  I was referring to a buyout -a win-win for investors but most importantly for Crypto.  Why not save ourselves from another failure and many more investors from being robbed if it can be done so that everyone wins.  Vern didn't have to be part of it, only cryptsy.  I see no sense in hurting so many people to spite Vern and $5 million is nothing for the big players in crypto.

If I were a whale I would have risked it for the good of the people and the image of crypto.

But I digress...

And you'll forgive me eventually, brother, cause I didn't wanna save cryptsy only for myself. Smiley

I can arrange one to be setup with the DGC/ARG/SRC block explorer's that we @ the DGC team are putting together if needed. it would be free of charge however any donations would be accepted once its running

This sounds like a much better way to go.

Please post a wallet address and those of us with some extra iXcoin will donate.

Thanks, Ahmed!

AHHHHHHHHHHH, by old bud, Ahmed. You guys remember Ahmed, don't you. He's the dude who published the same exact CV as that other serial liar Marshall Long who was mining bitcoins with Leroy Fodor in 2009.

@ Vlad: At this penning I'm not tryin' to connect you to coinexchange.io, but surely you had to be versed as to who was behind DGC who now operates coinexhange.io, no?

It was by happenstance I found that BitcoinTalk is hosted by coinexchange.io's partner in Romandia (hosting site, not the dude - he's in California, NV, Canada, etc. depending on how the fishing is I guess).

IXCoin has been added to our new exchange:

https://www.coinexchange.io/market/IXC/BTC

0.15% trade fee each way.
From the team that brings you CoinWallet.co

Epic!  These guys are an important piece.  More than people realize!

Vlad, either you don't know who them coinexchange.io guys are but am willing to go check them out because they're in your neighborhood, or you know who these these guys are, hence your overwhelming endorsement in helping to cement their viability.

We look forward to you reply as to which it is.

~*~DGC~*~i'm loading the boat here FOLKS!!!!  Grin

I'm at 76k. Have a couple more k to go. The cheaper the better. DGC is still doing well compared to a lot of coins at cryptsy. Ftc has been severly raped by autosales and now some of the other coins are next - which, according to market cap are way superior to dgc (lol!). Here's the update:

5    Novacoin    - 11(!) constant miners, no trade volume in all of its existence, Btce's pet coin
$ 1,951,521
   $ 4.27    456,921 NVC    -6.10 %
6    Primecoin    - is there a market cap? still no gpu miner, mined by botnets and amazon instances only
$ 1,856,137
   $ 0.70    2,658,923 XPM    -3.23 %
7    Feathercoin - a DoDo
$ 1,327,269
   $ 0.066    20,070,000 FTC    -7.25 %
8    WorldCoin    - what is this coin doing so high up in the charts?
$ 471,612
   $ 0.018    26,770,541 WDC    -7.04 %
9    Terracoin    - less secure than btc, less profitable than btc if you own asics
$ 430,089
   $ 0.11    4,036,650 TRC    -6.18 %
10    CryptogenicBullion    - seriously???
$ 303,251
   $ 0.35    864,290 CGB    -15.01 %
11    Megacoin    - obvious scam is obvious
$ 290,168
   $ 0.015    20,002,200 MEC    +51.09 %
12    Devcoin    - I like devcoins. They deserve to be in the top 20.
$ 274,298
   $ 5e-05    5,530,320,050 DVC    +1.41 %
13    Ixcoin    - merged mined with btc
$ 227,925
   $ 0.014    16,130,354 IXC    +34.81 %
14    Freicoin    -???
$ 219,821
   $ 0.0073    29,915,757 FRC    +13.99 %
15    Mincoin    -wtf?!
$ 152,924
   $ 0.11    1,362,460 MNC    -42.25 %
16    Anoncoin    -OMG.
$ 147,087
   $ 0.31    468,995 ANC    +0.00 %
17    Digitalcoin
$ 119,340
   $ 0.012    9,772,048 DGC    +8.17 %

90% of that list is the reason I created and launched ShitCoin.  I bet if I were to make the effort to get SHT listed on some exchange it would be in the top 5. That was the whole point, to show most of these coins are not even pretenders, they're total shit.  lol.

Good luck with DGC guys, I like this coin but I fear without a plan to take advantage of the Bitcoin effect, the price of DGC, like most all alts, will continue to get wrecked as Bitcoin rages toward $1,000 and higher in the coming months.

First off, ASICSRUS is BitJohn aka John Hammes.

I'm perplexed as to how Vlad commented countless times on DGC et al. threads but doesn't have a clue as to who's behind coinexchange.io.

I'm further perplexed as to how and why this forum is hosted on coinexchange's partner's hosting outfit based also in Romania.

Well i DO think Vlad misses out on a lot that happens around Crypto.
I don't think he recalls all the various topics + drama with BCX + DGC dev Baritus.
It went down a few times in ALT-Main and the biggest most recent aspect to the drama was..
That Baritus claimed an associate had hacked him and stole his DGC coins and dumped them.
BCX had outlined how the story did not add up and i agreed it WAS in fact fishy.
Then later it was said that Baritus had left the project and again BCX was suspicious this was true.
And one again i agreed with BCX.
As i said back then it's a pity because i never had a bad thing to say about Baritus.
That drama that unfolded seemed like he got caught red handed scammin'
I kept saying just come clean and we will forgive you and drop it and move on..
I simply wanted to see the guys name restored and the drama resolved.
But Baritus stuck to this guns.. to this day.

And Ahmed ? LOL
Yeah last i seen he is STILL alone on Cryptsy's IRC channel
And get this long after the Cryptsy Drama the IRC main OP went back on and changed the MOTD.
Even though this person told me he runs it and will NEVER EVER go back to the IRC channel and retired from Crypto.
Yup.. BitJohn
Meanwhile before and after Ahmed has been on that channel for about 3 years straight 24/7.
..with the channel OP BitJohn etc

So anyway i dunno just some random observations Wink
Any time i have brought up bad news from the past Vlad seems to have a bad recollection of it.
Not sure why.. simply a lack of activity to notice it etc ? I think so.. he don't like drama LOL
@Vlad
Fair enough.. what you just said about Cryptsy being brought back is in fact a worthy distinction !
A big difference between reviving Cryptsy as is.. vs having a community take over of sorts on it.

I smell more drama though guys.. i am off to make more GRAVY  Grin

It IS fishy how the exchange came up with that many IXC though i agree !
And it does not lend any cred seeing it hidden running like a BTCe.

And it's in Romania.  In craiova which is really close to me.

Hmmm, maybe that idiot, Hippie Tech, was right and I'm Paul Vernon extraordinaire.  lol

$ 1,951,521
   $ 4.27    456,921 NVC    -6.10 %
6    Primecoin    - is there a market cap? still no gpu miner, mined by botnets and amazon instances only
$ 1,856,137
   $ 0.70    2,658,923 XPM    -3.23 %
7    Feathercoin - a DoDo
$ 1,327,269
   $ 0.066    20,070,000 FTC    -7.25 %
8    WorldCoin    - what is this coin doing so high up in the charts?
$ 471,612
   $ 0.018    26,770,541 WDC    -7.04 %
9    Terracoin    - less secure than btc, less profitable than btc if you own asics
$ 430,089
   $ 0.11    4,036,650 TRC    -6.18 %
10    CryptogenicBullion    - seriously???
$ 303,251
   $ 0.35    864,290 CGB    -15.01 %
11    Megacoin    - obvious scam is obvious
$ 290,168
   $ 0.015    20,002,200 MEC    +51.09 %
12    Devcoin    - I like devcoins. They deserve to be in the top 20.
$ 274,298
   $ 5e-05    5,530,320,050 DVC    +1.41 %
13    Ixcoin    - merged mined with btc
$ 227,925
   $ 0.014    16,130,354 IXC    +34.81 %
14    Freicoin    -???
$ 219,821
   $ 0.0073    29,915,757 FRC    +13.99 %
15    Mincoin    -wtf?!
$ 152,924
   $ 0.11    1,362,460 MNC    -42.25 %
16    Anoncoin    -OMG.
$ 147,087
   $ 0.31    468,995 ANC    +0.00 %
17    Digitalcoin
$ 119,340
   $ 0.012    9,772,048 DGC    +8.17 %

Wasn't vlad in talks with joshua garza (listed in email leaks) on paycoin namesake and coin buyouts etc? I remember suchmoon's topic raising this and many vlad replies about paycoin going way higher in price etc. Crytpsy was involved in garza's prime controller gift and bullshit and i remember vlad being vocal in paycoin which doesn't add much strength to his views in scam busting. Paycoin was clearly a scam from the onset.

I'm not versed in the Vlad + Garza connection nor the Baritus fiasco. In the last 24 hours I've learnt about Joshua Moon and Kiwi Farm though, along with Richard Kwan and Francisco Dias, the latter whom hosts this forum, the former who runs coinexchange.io, both friends for years. I can't shake the notion that Dias may be part of the team supposedly rebuilding BitcoinTalk. Something smells fishy, more so than what's swimming in Owen's duckweed pond.

Since cryptsy robbed me of all my coins (left me with about 8 btc out of hundreds) I do little research on any coins.  I had no idea DGC had any drama after Baritus left and I assumed their investors were legit.  This is all news to me.

And my comment where I said "this is an important piece of the puzzle" I wasn't endorsing coinexchange.io, I was referring to their online wallet cause IXC badly needed one and I thought I could get them to fund it.  Other than that I was simply letting the community know about the exchange at a time when IXC couldn't get listed anywhere.

Gleb, I think you and Spoetnik are legit and are doing a thankless job - and I respect you guys for that.

Let me tell you that I ain't done jack shit scammy stuff in crypto - my rep and IXC were too valuable to sell out for any money.  Garza offered me $32k to make a single and legal statement about the paycoin bamebrand (after I took over that project) and I refused simply on principle cause I felt it was a community brand and not any lead dev's right, and let me tell you, it was just days after I lost everything, I didn't even have a car, any money or a place to live.

Few people in crypto would show that kind of convictions so it really pisses me off when I see shitheads like Hippie Tech vomitting lies.  And that "leaked Garza" email came from another source that hacked me but I let it go.  You guys dig all you want - I've always taken the hit for the small guy and passed up big money to keep a good rep.

And no, garza was not an obvious scammer from day one.  I thought he was just irresponsible and a power tripper.  He had legit backers and was involved with legit exchanges and sponsoring big legit events.

You and Spoetnik don't bother me at all cause I know you're looking for the truth, the other guys can suck my big dick 43 times.  Gotta top your 42.  Haha.

Rock on, brothers!!!
