Man, you having a nice experience doesn't automatically negate OP's claim. Don't call it fud just because you've personally never had issues with cryptsy, being locked out of as many funds as OP sounds like a horror story to me.

Bro.. Cryptsy is on this thread. The dude was given time to change his password and then he can have all his coins.
It's that simple. Id rather trust Vern and cryptsy then I would Bill and trex.

This is because the OP and you didn't read the post that says when you change your pass you cannot withdraw for 24 hours so obviously he wouldn't be able to withdraw upon changing pass.

1. Cryptsy cant change your password they have no way to do so only users can.
Hey,

while I'm clearly on cryptsy's side in this case (I never ever had a single problem with this exchange, and even my only support ticket I ever had there - 2FA needed to be disabled due to my phone being stolen, back then - was resolved in a matter of minutes.

But of course cryptsy can change a user's password. As soon as there is an administrator who has access to the database (alternatively, this can also be the webserver process which MUST have access to the database in order to actually set a user's password, initially), the passwords can be changed.
There is no way around the fact that the owner/administrator of a website has control over the users' passwords (be it plaintext, hashed, hashed & salted or whatever). That's just fact. If you register somewhere as user, you are trusting that service with your password and you have to know that that service has full control over your account.

Definitely not FUD. To those calling me fake still, I have cross validated myself across here, email, Cryptsy itself, and my real identity. Cryptsy aren't even denying who I am anymore. if Cryptsy thinks anything I am saying is not true, they can go ahead and say it here on the forums.

I am STILL getting wacky errors about passwords AGAIN, which are NOT caused by me.

The error does not say wait 24 hours, the error says invalid password. Big Difference. Meanwhile I was logged in with that very password....which they gave me, I did reset it.

Since I also can't log into my support ticket, I have to post here. If you need pics, I can post them to show you whats coming up (can I just paste pics in the box?)

Cryptsy, Vern/Mullick,BigJohn?

Edit{ Well, I just tried to log in, AGAIN WITH THE SAME UN AND PW USED TO LOG IN YESTERDAY. Now it just says " A security error has occurred" and does not let me log in!

How can it be this bad?Huh? And they are still not responding to my support tickets/emails and I can't log into the support. Guys, this is why I'm on the forums. This circle of Cryptsy errors goes around forever and ever and ever like a Merry go round. Still giving Cryptsy time to make this right.

But I've said it a million times, amongst other things, my IP which I've used all along shows who I am(I used it to log in from the beginning years ago, used it to deposit, and to request withdraws). Cryptsy knows that, and I have the records too. I've formally requested many times that only logins and withdraws from this IP can be considered legitimate. So, if the coins disappear under any circumstances or withdrawn from any other IP, then Cryptsy is liable. I am just saying it publicly one more time.

You call it drama queen, I call it denying me access to my own funds despite complete and total absurdity.

BitJohn,
You're not getting it. I did exactly this. I followed your direction exactly as you said. You sent me a new PW and I logged on with it, did you even read my last post?

YOU'RE TELLING ME TO DO SOMETHING THAT I JUST DID. I FOLLOWED YOUR DIRECTION EXACTLY AND NOW I AM GETTING THIS NEW ERROR."

I was in my account yesterday and took a bunch of screenshots, should I post em here? I also got an email from Mullick acknowledging my login with the NEW PW. NOW THEY ARE SAYING THE EXACT SAME NEW PW IS INVALID. THIS MAKES NO SENSE.

Let me dig Ill be glad to work with you on this if your willing to calm down the rhetoric. I am willing to get a developer to look deep into this. You have to understand from my point of view that it seems its just your account if its a server side issue. Is it possible sure maybe. You chose a different path in going to the forums and disagreeing with staff. We cant troubleshoot with you if your uncooperative.

So if your saying you wish to work with me fantastic lets find out whats going on with your account. PM me if this is what you would like to do.

BitJohn,
I've always said from the beginning, I'd rather just work together to solve the problem. I also said I'll be the first one to let the community know you helped me do so.

I'm sure we're both busy people and want to get over this big hullaballoo. I am glad it looks like a server side issue to you. You have to understand the frustration from my end, I feel that I have proven through IP login records combined with deposit/withdraw request information, and withdraw requests from the same IP with login pin 2fa, and withdraw confirm 2fa- that its my account with my funds. Certainly, other users aren't held to a stricter criteria than this for withdraws? Are they?I bet most people who successfully withdraw don't even have to do so from the same IP they deposited the funds from. I've done all this and more.

You have to understand, that I, the rightful owner of the account, am not just going to walk away and forget about it if I don't get my funds back. That's my life, my future. That's why I put all those security measures on the account in the first place.

Furthermore, you have my drivers license and a picture of my face, a court addressed letter to me, and my university email address- to tie this to my personal identity. So everything's there to give me my funds, from my point of view.I don't see where the debate about this being mine even is. You have to look and see why I'm reacting this way.

I am totally cooperative, but you have to also understand these password issues are very alarming to me as the user. I am following all your directions exactly so far, but has gotten me nowhere. Yes, lets work together and cooperate. However, every time in the past Cryptsy has taken the conversation out of public eye, it ends with me getting stonewalled. This has been going on for nearly a month now. So, I will gladly cooperate with you over PM, but if I am getting stonewalled I have to post here because I have no other recourse when I am completely ignored and can't log into any support tickets, so I have to post.

I also am stating again to be very clear and avoid misunderstanding, only allow interactions from the whitelisted IP-anything else should not be interacted with in regards to my account

So, lets shake and work together. Ok, PM-ing you now.

If you get your funds from Cryptsy feel very lucky.

Not responding to Support is one of their tactics, they did not respond to me for months to the many support tickets about the MN2 Market Bait and Switch and getting my funds back since all shares were not sold as promised before the market opened. They wanted people to get in right away at a lower price before the price goes up in a day placing urgency upon acting to save money. The market stated with exact wording, closed till all 10,000 shares are sold and payout daily. This means I get all my money back even if the market never opens, so why open early, it is like a CD where we just get paid back over time. But no, it had to open the 3rd day with only 5000 of the 10,000 shares sold and then Raffle the shares off in a gimmick to let the market plummet even further from the winners of the raffle selling out.

As I understood it, IP whitelisting on cryptsy.com is not there to prevent any non whitelisted IP from connecting, but if you're using the cryptsy API, whitelisted IP addresses are not blocked from connecting, if they e.g. send more requests than a usual user would do.

So, in general (and if I got this right), IP whitelisting is nothing that matters for you.

FUD FUD FUD. OP is full of fud.
I've used cryptsy since forever. I was probable one of their first clients. I use them daily and have never ever had any issues personally.
Just sayin.

Sorry bubba you are 100% wrong.

From Coinfire...

The noose begins to tighten.

http://coinfire.io/2015/10/04/federal-investigations-of-cryptsy-underway/

Coin Fire is now able to report that multiple federal investigations are underway regarding Crypsty.

The online exchange is under several investigations with multiple agencies including the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Internal Revenue Service, and the Criminal Investigation Division of the Internal Revenue Service, among others.

Documents from various investigations obtained by Coin Fire show a litany of purported wrongdoing by the company and several team members. The large number of allegations levied against the company varies from agency to agency in more than 300 pages of documents. In some instances, the investigation alleges that the company failed to obtain appropriate licenses. In one particular instance, a connection is made between a Cryptsy team member and GAW Miners’ fraudulent operations. Other government agencies report a failure to report gains appropriately, market manipulation, the sale of unlicensed securities, money laundering, and more.

The document cache obtained by Coin Fire contains materials ranging from the Securities and Exchange Commission to the Department of Homeland Security. The earliest records in the cache against Crypsty contain minor investigations of wrong-doing and are dated prior to the larger investigation of Mr. Homero Joshua Garza and Mr. Carlos Garza; however, the information discovered during the GAW Miners investigation caused lead investigators from multiple organizations to begin scrutinizing Crypsty and its parent company, Project Investors, more closely. The investigation against Cryptsy intensified after a “PayCoin controller” was exchanged to the company and the two investigations began to run concurrently.

In one document, FinCen began to examine allegedly illegal transactions where money was being moved to accounts connected to suspected terrorists, but the investigation had since stalled. This document was set aside and ignored for several months until recent information indicated potential transactions with suspected terrorists. Later documents referenced this earlier FinCen document, with the most recent alleging that both Project Investors and Cryptsy were aware of an account on their platform being used by an individual with ties to banking watch lists and restrictions.

The documents also explore other allegations. In one report, an organization alleges that the company utilized automated trading software on a platform that directly benefitted Crypsty staff members. The report also alleges that a key Cryptsy staff member performed fraudulent transactions related to the movement of PayCoin by Mr. Garza.

Another document shows one organization beginning a probe of PayCoin’s blockchain history. This document alleges that Cryptsy was being used by Mr. Garza to disguise money movement for both him and his associates. Furthermore, the report claims that the company was aware of this movement and not merely complicit; this allegation is echoed by material within the document indicating that (1) staff member engaged in these fraudulent transactions and transfers, and directly engaged in market manipulation.

A wide variety of federal agencies have taken an interest in cryptocurrency companies over the last year, with many preparing for administrative actions and even criminal charges in early 2016. These agencies have been seen cooperating on several levels. One agent with the Securities and Exchange Commission told Coin Fire that they were,

"Looking at the worst offenders in cryptocurrency and would be closing in further on our unofficial “top ten” list of which Cryptsy and Project Investors will find itself to be in the Top 5."

Shit just got real for Cryptsy. See what happens when you go to bed with scammers? You have been GARZAED
