Cryptsy is a scam... somehow magically right before dogecoin plummeted last year Cryptsy "accidentally allowed" me to purchase double what I had the btc to cover, so every bit that DOGE went down, I ended up eating double the loss, and I thought there was no way it was going to actually act as if I bought 2x as much. So I emailed him to try to resolve it, all the while DOGE is plummeting. He let me keep all the DOGE that I was supposed to be able to buy in the first place because now I am .46 BTC in the FUCKING NEGATIVE! How!!! And when I email the bastard he tells me "it was a glitch, you can deposit more BTC to bring your account positive."

yesterday.
Well over 1btc.

This is just a small thought. but why not buy up idk.. doge/pos alt send it over to shapeshift and cash out that way. idk. just example.
Just get verified follow the program and chill ..
shit happens in cryptos, but making a massive huge deal out of it A) will not help you B) in this case is not answer.
Did you withdraw the BTC in BTC, or did you trade your way out of it (as you're suggesting)?

This really is a major issue with crypto. We want and need to encourage adoption but the systems for trustworthy usage don't seem to be in place yet. If people on this board are struggling with cryptsy, then what about someone new to the crypto industry who has nothing to do with hardcore technology in their daily life? These are the people who need to get comfortable with crypto or there is no future for any of it (other than in specialised niche forums like this one).

Both.. I traded my way out and also straight up BTC withdrawal.
I have also deposited btc and various alts in last few hours.

No problem either way for me. it works fine buying up cheap alts atm!

"BigAmos said that our AmishCOINs are currently tied up due to a glitch. This is not good, Yoder! How the fuck are us Amish gonna be able to go mainstream if this keeps up? Having our furniture made in China is simply not enough. We need BigAmos to get off his ass and answer the cries of those using his exchange or we're gonna burn down his barn and fuck his goats."

I'm a Yank and I take no offense whatsoever to the last few comments here.  I've been following this thread for a bit, and is there anything definitive as far as whether any BTC withdrawals of significant amounts are getting through?  Has Cryptsy weighed in on this anywhere?  BitJohn does post here, right?

I've got no funds with Cryptsy right now, but I'm definitely not going to use them for anything as long as their solvency is a concern.

I doubt it is wise for cryptsy to post here so the won't.
Cryptsy is on this forum, not responding much lately cause when they do 15 trolls jump out of the word work runing the thread.
My speculation at least.

I withdrew XPM yesterday and Sexcoin today, all have gone through.

To be perfectly honest I could give two fucking shits what happens I am covered.

[...]

PLUS not one iota of forethought for other individuals like myself who quite happily trades on Cryptsy.. How this will affect ME, SO long as you guys get to put your point across. THIS BS is why I fucking hate this TOXIC ass forum as its populated with script-kiddie, alt-coin wannabe morons.

Good luck with this BS.

Sounds to me like give a lot more than "two fucking shits". But since you're getting your withdrawals without issues I can't see why you're so exasperated. You should probably close the browser tab with this TOXIC ass forum and go back to your happy trading. What you don't know can't hurt you.

Here is the 2 photos to show what happened. This is when DOGE was at one of its highest points. It had tripled in a few days and I kept catching the profits on the way up. Then suddenly my buy order bought DOUBLE what I could afford, this all happened in 4 minutes and I thought it was just a glitch and wasn't really happening. It didn't not resolve and I saw that my BTC was negative now, so I emailed cryptsy. While waiting for there support, of course DOGE plummeted and since I had 2x more than my account should have been able to afford, every satoshi lost was actually 2 satoshi lost. While I worked with email support to find out why my account had done this, expecting them to just undo the trade that shouldnt have been allowed in the first place, the coin went down down and never recovered.

Here is a photo of the last transaction, and then the current balance. When I email Cryptsy they just act like this kind of thing is no big deal and tell me to deposit more money if I want positive balance! You fucks! Even if the doge dropped in price I should still be able to sell off and have a positive balance albeit lower than I started. They essentially forced me to buy DOGE coin on credit, claimed it was glitch, and refused to resolve. I felt extorted and walked away from cryptos until this month.

personally don't think crypsty is insolvent...but if the majority of posters here believe so...some one should start a pool...like closest to bankruptcy date wins the pot...
anyway
if they were insolvent...that's what its like in the land of crypto. All this bitching and moaning, but where else are you going to trade alts. I cant believe with the demise of mt gox, mintpal, coine-e, cryptotrade virtex...to name a few....that people still put too much trust in these exchanges.

btw where is the thread with people bitching about cex-io....I have nmc coins lost in transfer for over a week.

exchanges...unless p2p or licensed under something like the nys draconian bit license, where a bond must be posted... are risky places.

You can also pull out WBB they have 18k of it in exchange wallet. just dont try to draw out any bigger coins.

Even if they are solvent and work back from this, they wont last, damage is done... No fee trading.... pffft bye bye

I've created support ticked saying something like 'please cancel my pending btc withdrawal'. They have returned my btc back to balance in a hour. Another way is to ask cancel withdrawal in chat, they will do so in a minutes. A bit more complicated part is to find altcoin with tiny spread, good volume and working withdrawals( ltc withdrawals pending for hours and maybe days). Doge have worked out for me( Eth and Dash withdrawals worked also), but it was yesterday, i'm not sure is it working now, just try it out.
A good alt for withdrawal is UNO / Unobtanium.

I know that people have been able to withdraw it.  Plus it is stable and highly liquid on other exchanges...
Man, Charlie, what's up with you?
People really shouldn't help pumping random coins to get their money out. That's far from a solution.
