Is there any way, by using our log in information, to get our Cryptsy trade history?
Thx in advance.

No, Paul wiped the servers on the way out the door, so there is nothing to get.
Your username / password trade history, balances, everything gone.

Why doesn't Paul make a deal with the American law, if it was him I would go to the court asking how many got accepted to the settlement "it is probably way lower than 11300 BTC" go to jail for a year after giving like 9000 BTC's back and after one year he goes out with 2300 BTC's and he can actually walk free around he's own country meeting he's own family? That's of course if it was him + he has the wallet.

Why on earth would he do that?

Right now, he gets to live out his life in another country without spending a year in jail, and if he still has the keys to the stolen bitcoins he could spend them all, any time he wants.

I just thought of something. It's possible that in all of Paul's haste, he accidently rid the private keys with no chance of gaining access to the loot, hence opting for another heist not as lucrative but highly profitable nonetheless.

Unless he's a total fuckin idiot in wanting it all, he's original plan may have been to sit on the original stolen loot, then organically close down Cryptsy with minimum repercussions on his part. But when/if the mega loot was lost, he had to plan and implement another heist.

I don't know why but this just makes me laugh. Cheesy

Quote
Paul Vernon of Cryptsy is the company's Chief Executive Officer. He says that Cryptsy provides a safe environment for users to trade crypto-currencies with other users in an efficient and easy way. Crypsty is currently registered with FinCEN and is working toward state licensing as a money transmitter. Paul Vernon says Cryptsy is also working toward accreditation by the Better Business Bureau, and says that Cryptsy is a solid and reputable company.

Maybe because for almost a year a bunch of us were telling people to get of that scam exchange and all I can think of for them not heeding that warning is their greed kept them there. There was a reason we were calling it Craptsy.

Kind of reminds me of the Bob surplus crew getting scammed while trying to scam others. I warned those coin holders as well.

I had expected more from FINCEN.  https://www.fincen.gov/resources/international-programs
Government and fincen do not pay any attention to this case
Now the IRS can see which users (if they made a claim)  where on the site, and how much money they had parked at crypsty
To my knowledge Paul is still an American citizen, who can still be traced by the government”.
Has there already been an investigation request made internationally to arrest Paul?

It is a hard lesson, but once you learn the government is the last place that is going to help, you can start finding other ways to get your money back

the steps are good to go through in case they get it right, but more often than not it is deliberately wrong

good thing is all transactions can be followed, at any time the gov decides to go after it, they will find everyone

you can find them too, follow the money

If you still hold funds on an exchange and you're not actively trading those funds, you stand to lose it all with no recourse. Get out of Bittrex, get out of Poloniex, and especially get out of Bitfinex.

In re the U$153M sum, at one point it was over U$200M not counting BCH, Bitcoin Gold, and all the alts, but rest assured that Paul Vernon is still looking into "The Event" (helluva name for a crypto movie).

I still can't get over how Lorie Nettles was versed in intelligence in the US Army but didn't have a fuckin clue as to what her husband was doin' in spite of her and him owning past entities that scammed their former user base. Hey, maybe Paul took a page out of Sonny Vleisides' book and convinced her that he's "on a good track now."

Further, I'm still taken aback that Jeff Ownby of Sonny's BFL used to work for the same outfit that BitJohn's grandfather founded. What are the fuckin odds with that? The same as Jeff and Sonny operating legit sportsbooks?

And if you think that's crazy, wait till you read about two dudes killing themselves after helping start LFC ran by Sonny and his real dad, James Ray Houston ...

And the four travelers all decided to put their money where their mouths were by becoming founding grantors of  Laissez Faire City and two of them leapt off a bridge just to seal it in style. As I hung there dangling above the river still 100 feet below I reflected that an existing founder had jumped FIRST. Now how many businesses have that kind of chutzpah? Look at what they have to offer and decide for yourself....

Four founders at a bridge including Sonny and his dad. Two jumped. Guess which two didn't.

Don't worry, it gets crazier. Another dude affiliated with LFC supposedly died in Costa Rica. I, among reliable others, believe he's still alive. What was his claim of fame, you ask? This (among others): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Orlin_Grabbe#The_End_of_Ordinary_Money

JOG was also editor of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Orlin_Grabbe#Laissez_Faire_City_Times. Who do you think was the original editor? Hint: Sonny Vleisides.

Now, if you or I ripped off the elderly to the tune of U$50M, what do you think are sentence would be once caught? In Sonny's case, a U$100 (not a misprint) fine and three years probation. What happened when Sonny broke his probation again? Two more years of probation and a promise that he'll end up behind bars. What happened when Sonny broke his subsequent probation?
