No one will receive back what they lost. The receivers got back less than $2 Million AFAIK and approved claimants get a percentage of that, Less 30% to the Lawyers.

It was Never about getting your coins or their Value back.

I find it a bit incredible that people still don't know this.

Maybe you are right.
Then this should be stated in their FAQ, not the value of the coins at 01NOV15.

Anyhow I am happy that I got something back. My expectation was that I lost everything and got nothing.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Yesss finally received my settlement payment by post
About 65 dollars for each bitcoin taken by cryptsy  🤣

Well that's it i guess...

I have learned my lesson; never trust or use a centralized cryptocoin exchange ever again!

I also received my settlement payment today $769,91 for

6.19 btc
535 cloak
21185 cann
114 ppc
485 xpm
13069 xst
10690 wdc
and many more small coins for the long hold

The date was 4 nov 2015, btc was at that time $393  (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin)

How can they pay me only 769,91 pff 6.19 btc x $393 = $2432,67

I also don't understand, they indicated in their FAQ that for the settlement payment would use the price at 01 nov 2015. The price was at that day $250
You should have received at least 6x $250 = $1500.
Not sure how it works with the taxes?

No you would expect a percent back based on the price as of 11/2015.

The only ones who made out at all was the lawyers...
they are the only ones that ever make out in these things.

Got my check as well: 600$ for 5 BTC
Cashing it out is going to be a different story... Substract all the costs for converting currency on a foreign check, maybe there will be something left at the end...

What if they get more funds out of the coinbase case? Will we receive another check?

This is going to be a problem for me as well. Costs about $100 here to cash out a cheque. Given my expected payment it's simply not worth the paper it will be written on...

77$ for 80 dash and other cryptos.... Cheesy....

Big Vern can you get a good night's sleep?

Is it worth that everyone is hating you or hunting you?

Being afraid all the time it's not living at all

Surrender, take and accept your responsibility for all of this and rest in peace

It's the best for your torment soul

Cryptsy database should restore, I know always there is a hidden backup and for this settlement it was used

Coinbase is our last hope

got 958$ for 1177 DASH... a month ago those were worth around 1.5 million US $. Might as well use this check to buy a rope and hang myself.
Does anybody know if it's still possible to participate in the Silver Miller lawsuit?

EDIT:

on cryptsysettlement.com I found the following statement:

Quote
You need not take any action at this time to be part of the Coinbase class action. If the Court certifies the case as a class action, Wites & Kapetan and Silver Miller will post information on the Internet and make other efforts – which are subject to court approval – to advise Cryptsy account holders about the case. You can email your information (including your name, email address, physical address and phone number) to info@wklawyers.com, and we will send you updates about the Coinbase case.

so this means that everyone that got something from the Cryptsy settlement is automatically involved in the coinbase lawsuit? Can anybody confirm this?

Yo, got my check as well. $129.70 for 1 BTC + half as much in various alts. That won't even do a bottle of Hennessy XO to celebrate such a triumph of justice.

but you didnt really did you?

I mean you got something, and thats good... but it didnt come from Vern or cryptsy, it came at the expense of the other users.
The money they are handing out was money stolen from the users, not out of Verns wallet. Even the money from the sale of the house car and ring came from his ex wife, and
I dont know if she knew or not, but she still walked away with a large chunk of the users money, so even she came out a winner.

The money trickling in now for the users of cryptsy is a small fraction of their own money... The bad guys still won this day, and there is no justice for anyone.
