Having problems trying to mine this on ubuntu 15.4

I had no problems mining Eth on the same box , ethminer is already installed.

I installed gexp with no issues and have peers as well as the console going but i cant

geth ethminer to see the rpc instance

As you can see console is fine i started it with :  build/bin/gexp --rpc --rpcaddr 192.168.0.103 console

i used the same ethminer string i used before :
ethminer --cl-global-work 8192 --cl-local-work 128  -G -F http://192.168.0.103:8545 --farm-recheck 100 --no-precompute

but all i see is :

You might be misconfigured, but it could also be a bug, there is a similar bug in the current Ethereum/EthMiner Releases, Please see: https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/2152/ethminer-connection-problem#latest for information and solution.

Please run the command 'exp.accounts' and tell me are there more than one account listed there?
If more than one, check the balance of each one listed.
If there is just one, the current coinbase, that is returning nothing, please try the following:

Navigate to the directory: %appdata%\Expanse\keystore
Is there more than one file there?

Yes, there are 2 files at the keystore folder.

Just having the file in the keystore should load the key (you shouldn't even have to restart the app. If there are two files there should be two addresses, but as you say both has an empty balance. Please try to search your hard drive for any files that start with "UTC--", with this you can see if there are any other keys on your system. Hopefully they are on your system somewhere. If not, you may have a more difficult scenario... D;

Edit: While this may not provide too much additional insight, neither of the two addresses above mined any exp, nor sent/received any. So if you did mine you might not have been synced, or your key files likely somehow got removed/moved.

As with anything, it will go up and down. We aren't manipulating the charts so its up to the market to decide its value. We are however, going to continue to release stuff and develop non stop for the project, which will hopefully continue to stimulate growth

I have my GPUs installed on a 32 windows system. Is there a possibility of mining expanse in a 32 system? I've heard you need at least 1gb per GPU is that right?

We were talking mostly about the Advisory Core, potential changes to POS. Some talking about the price. New wallets coming, things like that.

Much of it was related to the different technical options for POS, different algos, that sort of thing. Nothing finalized yet, just discussions.

I believe around 330k available, give or take, counting the reserve that isn't being used until the future, and then slowly, over 11.1 million.

Everything has been sent to Coinmarketcap so hopefully they have it updated soon. Sometimes it takes them awhile.

just some thoughts in regards to a change to pos... there is a couple coins out there that are doing full pow/pos hybrids (SWING and VEC are the two I know about there are probably more) It might be a good idea since some of us are passionate about 1 or the other. I don't know how it works, if it's 1 pow block then 1 pos block or if it's whichever lucks out or has more hash power/weight at that moment... could be a way to keep both groups happy

 also swing's varying block rewards could help slow down inflation, so instead of a straight 8 coins per block it could be 1-8 coins for both pow and pos blocks or something along those lines.

You have to run Ethminer on Windows 64 bit and a GPU needs 2Gb to work with Ethminer.
