I don't think most new nice site makers will even bother to think about that part, they just think "Oh cause my site will have a higher faucet then others"(coinwon.nl) "I have a awesome domain name, and name for my site"(crimedice.com), "its different because its me who is making it"(arrogant guys).
Good point here, but this will just be a bait to all the signature spammers to post nearly the same things as you or I have written.
As for people actually seeing this thread and deciding that making another dumb dice site will not be worth is, is near to zero, even if they do see this thread, they will be too greedy,ignorant or "macho" to not make a new dice site.

i think one of the major factors is moneypot, which pretty much enables people to launch a gambling website without having any bankroll. in addition, launching a moneypot app is pretty much guaranteed profit for the owner as well, as owners take a percentage of the profits.

That's the reason behind those sites imo as well.. Moneypot enables users to initiate a site like that with ease and since the backbone is there it requires minimal effort.

People create more of these kind of "sites" when they see that the others before the new already boomed in just a minimal amount of time. They think that if they create another dice site and if they can provide somethig which the other dice sites can provide then they will be the ones who will benifit from all the peoples bet in their site.

It's human tendency to follow business ideas which have proved to be successful and I think most of these are made by people who have lost money in some dice sites and they either hire a few people or make one themselves if they're capable of making one and they do it because they see people losing a lot of money in already established dice sites but they forget that it is not easy to build up reputation and trust and it takes a lot of time, effort and funds to keep people interested and coming back to the site and which is why you will see very few of them survive and rest go down pretty quickly.

But that being said there's always room for improvement, some sites have made their place among the other successful running ones and it all comes down to how persistent and motivated you are to compete and come on top.

What you said is correct they are simple to maintain but the main reason is people mentality. If any one started making some profit from one business means immediately so many other people will start same thing with just adding some changes to it and quickly want to earn some finally. But in reality they are killing or saturating that market itself. No one want to think differently and come up with their own business model every one wants just copy and paste profits.

Not correct unless you use dan's script and host it at github which needs almost free for everything then yeah you will get a slight profit .If you are making your own site which cost you quite some and some hosting fee then it needs months to just get it back with quite a decent volume
