That sure is a lot of S5's.  I'm curious if you are close to ROI on the hashnest S5's.  I'm too lazy to do the maths on how long it would take to ROI on the S7's at hashnest.

My average S5 purchase price is 0.001217 BTC GHs 1,405657BTC for S5

However, S5  possibility to ROI  is much greater than the S7 ROI

It all depends on Bitmain behaving, if the BTC price rises.

If Bitmain  raise the S7 price, has won all previous S7 buyers. If not , they are all lost. Hashnest S7 price goes down and S7 "never" ROI .

Hashnest S5 market opened in early February.

That's a really nice price ! I could be tempted too to buy one  ! The problem is that they will maybe never have a ROI with a possible augmentation of the difficulty with the coming of the S7s.

If no one pre-orders they can't float the cash to manufacture, otherwise they wouldn't have the capital model they have currently. If I was them I would use batch 1 direct purchase pre-orders for my own mining, then fix any HW/SW bugs found, run this cycle for a few weeks and then start manufacturing the batch 1 pre-orders while mining with the tests. Once the pre-orders were almost filled I would sell the original miners that had issues that were "fixed" at discounted prices. By doing so they have floated the manufacturing costs to pay for the chip fabrication, design and overhead without loans, lines of credit or their using a large portion of their own capital. It's a Bitmain risk transference model that we have all agreed to since we do not have the capabilities to build custom asic's.

I ordered nine in batch 1 and will order another nine in two months, then sell them all when I hit 70% ROI and hold all of the coins to see what the halving causes to the market. Once some real competition comes along I believe the capital model they are using will be forced to change, ala AMD/NVIDIA/Intel.

I can sell my eighteen s7's that I will "own" before the market for them collapses. This means I can recoup a significant portion of my hardware investment before I hit 70-90% ROI. Does Hashnet allow you to do that?

I will take my equity of $32k+ USD, mine with them and sell them before the next miner models hit. I will do this before the halving.....
