why the stats on stats page show 6 gh/s but pool websites shows 15 gh/s ? which one is correct? all the 3 pools combined doesn't make up for the 6 gh/s on stats page, so there is 10 gh/s on solo mining?

6500USD on this coin today, starting to look great.

this coin supports dapps so nicely and the coin is just like ethereum and expanse, no reason not to mine this.

i expect a nice growth within 2 months, when 3 and 4gb cards starts to lose hashrate on ethereum, a whole 1 million gpu's are coming for these dagger hashimoto coins, due to many transactions on ethereum the dag is growing faster than typical.

this coin only needs 100 to 200 gh/s to hit one dollar. within 6 to 10 months the coin can be all from 1 to 10 dollars, the total network hashrate will also grow exponentally when volta from nvidia releases, if the die's are like titan volta with alot more SM's per SP and around 4600 cores+ on 2080TI the gpu might be able to run 80 to 100 mh/s, around 70 to 80 mh/s at stock speeds and overclocked possibly hitting 90-100 mh/s per gpu. hopefully they give us bios key so people can edit bios's, something they did not do with pascal series and people had to use other factory bios's and flash those, you could flash but not edit, those keys was only distributed to the AIB manufactories and kept stricly hidden from public.

there's also a new website going on http://soil.cash/

let the soil grow.

hello i might be abit late for mining but still im very confused with my outcome... im using claymores and my current HS is 18.2 Mh/s on 24h mining i got only 17 coins and on mine the coin by those calcs says that i should atleast get 79 coins which is alot difference between the reality and expectation here ... what am i doing wrong or does this happens to all of you right now?

https://whattomine.com/coins/189-soil-ethash?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=17&p=405.0&fee=0.0&cost=0.1&hcost=0.0&commit=Calculate

using calculator its only about there.

i have done ethereum calculator with the same stats which run 15s blocktime it gives the same rewards. which i find very strange. but this one adds up to what im earning.

Screenshots?
latest wallet?

put the UTC wallet file in the keystore folder at c:/users/"my username"/appdata/roaming/soil

or you can open the folder with the wallet, accounts > safety / encryption or safe wallet > accounts, and you see the keystore folder.

https://image.prntscr.com/image/VWe5uPx5TOyubbmUlw95FA.png

even if you add an ethereum wallet, i did it with a 6 months old one and it still read the file.

if you still have problem, delete Soil and Soilsafe folder in appdata/roaming/ and make sure you backup your wallet, UTC file. and reinstall the wallet https://github.com/Soilcoin/SOILsafe/releases

why the stats on stats page show 6 gh/s but pool websites shows 15 gh/s ? which one is correct?

It's based on difficulty and avg block time.

Right now the "AVG Network Hashrate" on stats site shows:
6.3G

At the same moment in time:
Difficulty is showing 212.12 G
Average block time is ~43 seconds.

212120000000 / 43 = 4919930232.55814

The average network hashrate is therefore around ~4.92G at this point in time.
And indeed my pool shows a 4.91 Network hash rate right now. (soil.holylinux.net)

~6.3G isn't even close. Not sure how they even calculated it based on other stats I see.

on the pools http://soil.pool.sexy/#/ and so on they show 12-14 gh/s all the time
its like they take 5 gh/s x 42s blocktime
they base Live rewards with the 15s blocktime and since the blocktime is 40s they x3 the GH/s  thats what it looks like right now, just a scam if you ask me.
but i dont see any reason for the block counter to be wrong, seeing latest block on the block explorer is where the software reads block count.

EDIT blocktime gone down

i see last 12 hour the average blocktime vent from 43s average to 40s but right now its going back up again.

you guys seen this? http://soilex.altervista.org/index.html

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Forum/Thread/1258

Edit: it seems like the longer blocktime happened after block 3 000 000 and right now its slowly starting to cease but still cant figure out any source to the issue besides bad coin not being able to sustain itself when hitting higher blocks.

https://image.prntscr.com/image/UWgI_UAGT3SR-XVvx8DwZQ.png

to me looks like its the same as what happened to ethereum, but they did an update in november https://image.prntscr.com/image/akmLYODKSF_zx7OWeD_Lxg.png

Yep - They just need to update the avg blocktime variable is my guess. (Just one place in code.)
You could try my pool - mine's correct. lol..

Yeah, wish someone in charge would start working on this coin again..
All I can do as far as my pool is plugin what I see on that stat page.
Unless I find a better/official(?) source of data, I have to use blocktime as shown and assume its close.

BTW: Shows same blocktime on major coin price sites, too. (whattomine etc).

yes, whattomine and soil:stats uses the same source, my screens shows the blockchain explorer aswell and like last 100 blocks the blocktime actually vent down to 36s
this coin is worth it, its distributed to alot of people over 2 years, alot of people probably forgot or has deleted their wallet, so there is less coins in circulation, this is important as more supply is now depending on new miners.

Those who mined ethereum early, we call them luckers. there is also a chance for that here just a lower scale, that is why people should just jump on it meanwhile the difficulty is still low.
expanse has 8 million coins pre mined according to coinmarketcap and soil has no pre mine

I also saw 10 000USD traded on soil today, thats a good volume as new investors are seeing this coin as profitable when it finally starts to get back on track.

Been on this the whole day, when i moved my miners to the main gsol pool the blocktime vent to a new high average was well over 60s

higher hashrate on the network and changed my miners to the beta pool and now its actually hitting 15-25s average for some time, i think its because of the higher network hashrate.

https://image.prntscr.com/image/ETZ5B4XIT9O3C9XHj9Winw.png
https://image.prntscr.com/image/HBfHiibZRkuXvRPToslCPw.png

Edit: now hashrate gone down and difficulty gone down, the avg blocktime is now 33s so its clearly the total network hashrate that is too low to maintain a 15s blocktime, it should be updated

Edit again, hashrate gone down and blocktime at 41s.

This coin has a treshold of how many miners before spouting all the coins, this way the miners who mine early gets less rewards than supposed and the coin is more distributed once more miners joins in.

there's also a new website going on http://soil.cash/

let the soil grow.

Always compare block height. Usually its all same if some node will not crash or something else will not happened.

If you compare net diff its same. Problem is network hashrate.

Net Hashrate is counted on pool side:

Quote
  hashrate: Ember.computed('difficulty', {
    get() {
      return this.getWithDefault('difficulty', 0) / config.APP.BlockTime;
    }
  }),

How u can see its counted (divided by block time) which is statically configured on pool side. Thats reason why you see wrong values on most pools.

http://soil.miners-zone.net have this configured:
Quote
      // For network hashrate (change for your favourite fork)
      BlockTime: 13.0

https://github.com/Soilcoin/go-soil/blob/master/params/protocol_params.go#L79

Since it looks there are some miners with 10GH/s which trying mining attacks they are trying constantly mine most blocks in short time. Diff goes up and block time goes down. When they left network diff is trying go down and block time goes up. I remember times when SOIL had 12 secs block times and on network had 500MH/s.

And recognise values like real hashrate and average hashrate. On network stats that black page which Im running its counted from last 50 blocks. And if I will change that 13 secs in pool config file to actual 41 secs block time and will recompile pool pages you will see almost same hashrate (for some time until some big minner didnt comes or some didnt left) like on network stats. (you will never will get same values since again network stats are averaged).

So dear miner its all clear now? Happy mining.

i dont know,  blocktime shouldn't have to be re set all the time because of more hashrate, ethereum is proof of this. keeps a 15s blocktime average regardless if its 130 th/s or 170 th/s so why shouldn't soil? instantly as hashrate goes up, blocktime goes down, http://178.62.133.174:9001/#/chain/ is what i use, right now its been a very low hashrate and therefore blocktime is around 53s last 10 blocks, which is ridicules. but instantly as hashrate goes up, blocktime goes down and difficulty up. but i dont see this as pool sided.

what i see is a Treshold that the developer wants there to be a certain amount of hashrate on the network before giving out all the coins as promised, this will keep single miners with 1-2 gh/s from scooping up all the coins if there is low hashrate, which isn't really fair in any sort of way.

i've watched expanse, ellaism, all go from 200 gh/s to 990 GH/s and blocktime is always the same average, it doesn't change based on pool and not the hashrate, for soil all i see is a treshold, once we surpass it again there will be 15s blocktime average, but right now its too low.
