Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Pool ops dgaf anymore.

Yeah i noticed that too, they are now big boys, they are waiting BIG coin to show up, to be supported by them. They look just profit, they are not part of the mining game like in the old days, when it was up to 15 pools per coin.

Amazing! Someone called "@!" opened a new account, opened new thread, posted 2 posts. No info, no names, no even fancy graphics or simple logo, no promises, no plans, no value, nothing there actually!

And voila!! About 1.8GHs is mining the shit. Looks like miners are starving for PoW coin, and have nothing to mine anymore...

Do you know what you are mining guys? Why are you mining it? Just because there is nothing else to do?

Well, at least the Devs of those 500 coins have spent more than 10 minutes for preparing the ann-thread, so they might spend more than few hours supporting the coin (before getting lost Smiley ).

This Dev did not spend even 2 minutes. Maybe he was just bored on Saturday evening and decided to entertain himself with a test fork with test ann..  Grin Why should he even look on this thread again...? No efforts spent - no value to him. No even a premine to dump Smiley

Yes they seem to swap links sometimes, and they even swap them back ... Not sure that it is the cause here, but it is possible..

Yup. I've seen it happen before. I usually try to look under the behavioral information to make sure it's not creating any suspicious files. When I find any red flags, i'll let everyone know

Well, he indeed disappeared, exactly as I was telling above  Undecided. No effort - no value.

Its hard time for miners now - almost no new good PoW coins now... I used to rent mining power on many new coins before, but lately there is almost nothing new really worth to mine...
Community is drawn by ICO coins, many sheep members think miners are the evil, and they should invest in full PoS only... "because otherwise those bloody miners will come and dump the mined coins for any price, because their electricity costs nothing to them". People forget that mining is the core of the crypto. Too many traders here on forum with no interest in anything about making fast buck, and those traders are changing the rules step by step...

Used to be a coin post like this got a fair shot because crypto is about freedom of choice. More and more people try and dictate to the community what they can and cannot mine (like you). A lot of potential devs are just sick of it and dont bother at all with a pow coin now. Why work for free so people can fud campaign you? Might as well go ico at least you get paid to get insulted then. People like you are why pow is dying out.

Interesting opinion... So it is because of me that this noob dev just disappeared after spending zero time preparing this ANN, and spreading his infected wallet..?  Shocked You say "People like you".. you don't even know me, probably didn't even care to read my single post above, not telling about the rest... I never insult anyone without having solid reasons to do so. Note I didn't insult this "dev" in my posts above. I just asked an obvious question, as I was indeed puzzled by the hashrate thrown on this presumably worthless coin.

Well, anyway, I understand your frustration - you probably mined it, and now when it turned to be a turd, you try to find the guilty one...  Undecided

Anyway, freedom of speech and diversity of opinoins are also very important, so I would respect your opinion. Maybe you are right, don't know.

... this space is not for rent ...

where is the dev?
Did someone check for Virus here? Recently too? Not that they are swapping

Yea.. I scanned it shortly after release: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/61369ce50218f153aef02da9e13a8fbe2ff53ea5f3e04260bd26aca929ee009b/analysis/. Not sure if they're swapping links or anything though. Haven't looked through any of the source

Yes they seem to swap links sometimes, and they even swap them back ... Not sure that it is the cause here, but it is possible..

I cleaned out a Trojan after installing the wallet but unsure if the wallet was the source.

Sometimes is neccesary mark this to avoid more questions on a thread don´t locked:

Does anyone else get some sort of perverse, collector's-mentality pleasure out of digging up these dead coins and finding a working wallet for them? I can't be the only one.
