Pre-configured pirate boxes? What do they do?
I just connect them to the Internet and they scam people?

A PirateBox is an off-the-grid mini intranet. It is a battery-operated, password-less router that forwards all attempts to access the internet to a website hosted on a flash drive. The flash drive allows for anonymous webchat and file upload/downloads. I'm developing multiplayer games as well as a proper file management system.

I'm currently rebranding my piratebox to a more general public friendly name, SocialBox. If anyone were interested in buying one I could load my effort or the original.

My redesign is fluid width for laptops, tablets, or mobile devices.

Bought a basic one for BTC recently, and loving it - great for events and meetups. The idea of multiplayer games is intriguing too.

Going to look into building my own next though - good luck with selling them.

terrorist

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.

If I had detailed instructions and you liked the design and extra functionality, would you be interested in adopting SocialBox? I'm open to feature requests.

Yeah, basic marketing. You don't ask your customers for a price, you have to decide it yourself. And also it is better advertisement.

Decide a price and I might buy it Cheesy

10BTC would cover my costs, shipping, and give me a slight profit for my work. However, there could be different battery packs, or storage sizes that could be selected and would change the price.

10BTC would cover 8GB of storage, 4 hours battery life

Other prices would be on a case by case basis.

Shipping to US would be cheaper for me and cheaper for you.

A pre-configured piratebox would be cool. Cryptoanarchy has one too, http://cryptoanarchy.com/store/index.php?route=product/category&path=65. The more, the merrier.

Why do you think I offered to sell them?

I have one and am developing my own software for it.

I lost track of you as the OP. Sorry for the confusion. Hopefully you will commit back changes and enhancements to the original codebase.

Yes, there is a market for pre-configured, working pirateboxes. I have built my own and gotten it all to work. However, due to life getting in the way of hacking, I find buying things is more efficient.

There was a failed mesh network in Vancouver BC too I wish returned, meraki closed source all their routers or something. At the time there was little interest now exploding interest

I'm interested in the software you come up for it, if it's secure. Looking to build a base station pirate box on the top of buildings all over the wretched downtown eastside of vancouver (high density poverty living) and fill it with MIT school lectures/ebooks/music and movies.

Lucky for you, mesh networking is all the rage now. There are the following projects ongoing:

1. Project Byzantium, http://project-byzantium.org/
2. OSLRD, http://www.olsr.org/
3. Commotion Wireless, https://commotionwireless.net/
4. Open Mesh, http://www.open-mesh.org/projects/open-mesh/wiki
