Hi guys,

We are testing the remittance market using our cashout network in Spain.

The operative would be as usual but starting the operation from another country.

https://bit2me.com/en/convert.php

1) Enter the amount you want to send and the spanish phone number if the person that will withdraw it.
2) Send the equivalent amount in bitcoins to the indicated address.
3) Send the PIN code you will be showed to the receiver.

What do you think about it?

Thank you all!

Seems like a nice service. Unfortunately I can't test it...

Anyways, you'd get more visibility by posting in Service Announcements Smiley

Looks interesting and I'm in Spain ... I'll definitely keep an eye out for this service. Are the cash-out ATM's really that common? I don't recall every seeing an option at an ATM to enter a phone/PIN - but perhaps because I never looked for the option. Good luck!

Looks like a good service to use for people who might not be using bitcoin on the receiving side.

One possible problem may be the 10 minute waiting time...

In Bit2Me we have a 10 minutes window for your payment to be detected by our system.

Payments sometimes take longer than this before they go through.

There are a lot of ATMs in Spain compatible with our network (+10.000). Those are the ones we linked to bit2me to use the Hal - Cash infraestructure. You can select that option when getting the money.

We will be definitely happy if you try us! That would be a great idea. There's something like that in mondome.com

Impressive and easy transfer, can you tell us that which country will be as your mainstream operation. Give a try in the Market places in the Economic section, pretty worth.

Are you going to branch out to other countries with this too? Who own the coins send to the sender? Why do I ask this? It is quite simple, just to know who own the private key to the coins. Are you functioning on a off-chain system like Xapo where Xapo transfer the Bitcoins internally and they own the private key, until it is send to a external address?

Sadly I am not in Spain and therefore can't test it but if it works like as you explain it does in OP then it is a remarkable service and you should aim to provide same sort of service in other countries also, specially in Asian countries where remittance is a necessity for some families.

This doesn't work? I'm getting a blank page. Hey, this is about money, you need to beef up your website on the server side.
Besides, what are the fees? And do you have a map of the ATMs network?

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

We are definitely working on expanding our service to other places and we can say that we are launching inminnently in Romania.

What you are doing is a real time selling operation to us. In exchange of this, we send a couple of codes that allow you to withdraw the cash from the compatible ATMs network (+10.000 in Spain).

We don't work with an off-chain system.

I tried Bit2Me while in Spain and it worked fairly well. You need to be aware that all the ATMs seem to support some kind of cash by phone system, but only some of them are part of Hal-Cash. If it doesn't clearly say Hal-Cash then you probably need to find a different ATM, or you'll be wasting your time like I did.

I have seen a close friend use this service many times now. Bit2Me definitely delivers, I hope they can continue working and not run into too many problems along the way. Keep it up!
