Looking for a good deal on an ATI 9250 so I can start mining. Can be 128 or 256, doesn't matter.
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

You won't be able to mine with an ATI 9250... only look for HD 5xxx, HD 6xxx and HD 7xxx.

not the point, several say cpu mining isn't possible yet i have a celeron pullin 1.5 m/hash debunking that statement.
While a 9250 won't pull anything close to 500 m/hash, anything better then 1.5 m/hash is better then nothing.

No one ever said this! People says that cpu mining is epic useless and a waste of electricity, wich is true.

Yes but, a 9 years ago graphic card?? It's really old! No, it doesn't mine and even if it did, it would be epic waste of electricity, like cpu mining.

I think it would be much closer to 5 m/hash than to 500.  Grin But, yes, it  is better then nothing.

I got an ATI 9800 Pro 128 I'll sell you. It's flashed to a Mac BIOS, as it's the fastest card that can work in a Sawtooth AGP 2x slot. No, you can't mine on it.

For some reason I don't think this guy is for real. He could easily buy a radeon hd 5830 for so cheap off of ebay(5850 if he can spend another $20). Why even think about buying a video card earlier than the 3 year old 5xxx series cards?

Successful trades with bels, misterbigg, ChrisNelson, shackleford, geniusboy91, and Isokivi.
