This is going to be a very active difficulty period, I bet we see swings that have a higher total range than any we've seen in a long time.

I can't imagine staying negative too long...

Neither can I, but it does make me wonder if this period or next will be the one to see a bump in the rate.
As it is looks like its starting off negative.
Still a while left in this round though

I think we can count on it going out of negative pretty quickly.  It is amazing though to see negative at all during this period.  I think it's safe to assume when the S7's hit peoples homes we will jump up again. How much not sure guess that's why they call it speculation .

I really want to have closer to 2 then 5 this period, but not sure if my wishes will matter.

It appears bitwisdom is going up slowly I think soon a lot will receive S7's and we will see a jump as they are plugged in.  I think this should happen anytime.

I do find it interesting bitmain already put more online.   I wonder if these are batch 2 or hashnest, or even a big buyer.   I wish BTC was more transparent.

Sept 19    127   and as of now we are negative for the real  time number.  - 15 blocks  which is close to -4% !!!

Sept 20    124   so we are   - 35 blocks  as of last night.

Sept 21    162  and that is plus 18  so we are at -17 as of 10pm east cost time.

we have made 724 blocks  should be 741  so  724/741 = 0.97705 - 1 = (-2.294%)

but a second 162 day and we will zero .

Now  my belief is bitmain will not do much more then this.  we shall see.

In case folks haven't seen it, Spondoolies has decided to return fire at Bitmain, with their 100+ TH SP50 monster. Looks to me like the ASIC arms race will resume. No date or price yet on shipment, so I think this adjustment will not reflect any SP50's. Eventually they will show up and push difficulty to new heights.
