Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the
subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The
subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Now coming up on and surpassing the previous altitude record (113,740 ft in 1961) for a manned balloon flight in a minute or so... There is reportedly an issue with the heating for the faceplate, which could present a problem for the jump  ..the mission is still continuing for the moment, however. |
