My car recently failed a Pennsylvania inspection which means I can no longer legally drive it without risking a $100+ ticket/citation.
I took the car to a shop and it needed $1,100 in repairs [struts, brake pads, rotors] to pass inspection. I don't have that kind of money lying around.
So I'll be taking the car to a technical school that works on vehicles for free, but I still need to pay for parts and the inspection at a licensed shop later on.

I currently work on average 32-40 hours at Walmart. I'm looking for a loan to help pay for the car so I can continue going to work so I can pay for the loan.
If you look through my reputation and history you can see I've done thousands of dollars worth of loans without any collateral or escrow and always paid back including interest.
I think a two month loan period with 5% [compounded monthly] interest would be fair for both the lendee and lender. We can peg BTC to USD to help protect both individuals.

Just let me know.

Regards,
Gabriel Battaglia

I have to say the amount of this loan is larger than any of your previous loan! Although you have good record, but ppl are still careful to give out loans! At least you should give some collateral!

you loan history fine , but this amount without collateral for long term too risky, maybe you not have intention to scam, but What to repay the debt with you if something happens during that time?

I agree. Although OP has nice positive feedback and reputation, I would not lend him any bitcoin.
I value your account at 1.5 btc maximum. Provided that any information you posted here is fake, we will not be able to identify you,
and you could very easily run away with bitcoin. We could not stop you from this.
Do you have any friends/relatives to lend from? Why turn on a bitcoin forum for this?
You don't have 400$ but you have a car and a internet connection?
I wish you are not lying, and someone funds your loan and you repay in time, but I am not going to fund this loan. too risky for me.

Good luck  Undecided

Just to make sure your account is not hacked (which, IMHO, is necessary for higher-trust/ranked accounts), please sign the address in this post.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=401658.msg4367914#msg4367914

And typically, all loans should have collateral regardless of the trust of the loanee.

Actually this loan is smaller than a lot of my past no collateral loans. You can go back and see me having loans of roughly 1-2BTC while Bitcoin was worth $600+.
And yes, I have an internet connection [$50/month], and a old 92 Camry. In the OP I state the estimate was $1,100. So while I may have $400, I don't have $1,100.

I can't sign that address since I've wiped my desktop to Windows 10 and I've been using Coinbase for my other transactions. You can go over my post history and see me
still posting on projects like NOXT over a year.

I understand someone skipping town is always a risk with others on this forum and in life, but I've proven time and time again to make good on my loans.

What's your current financial situarion?  Why is it that you cannot ask for the money from your friends and family?

This is risky 2BTC is a lot to ask even though you are a reputable member. Why can't you get a loan like monbux stated from your friends or maybe the bank?

If you provide more confirmation proving you own your account, I might loan you some.

To those asking regarding me using a bank or family:
Family and friends are a little short on cash and I don't want to borrow from them. I have considered a bank, but I'm nearly positive that since I have no credit history [20 years old, only used debit] won't lend to me or approve a credit card application. Financially I'm stable having worked the same job for a while now and having consistent hours. I am applying at other higher paying businesses but nothing concrete. I can provide current paystubs if needed. Like I said, it is just the large expenditure that I wasn't expecting [the car ran fine, I expected the inspection to be the usual $30] which has been a bit of a compromise. I have the car at the school tech shop and have borrowed a vehicle from family so I can keep going to work while the car is in the shop.

The address you guys wanted me to sign is from an old Multibit wallet that I've since wiped from my HDD. I'll work on getting my Coinbase account and seeing if I can sign any relevant address that I used for an old loan here. Most people refused to use my Coinbase insisting I use my old Multibit address, which I understand the reasoning for, but the wallet doesn't exist so......

I can provide paystubs and photographic evidence I am who I say I am if you guys insist.

Thank you all for considering this loan.

Hi GBattaglia,
I'm sorry but I find it difficult to believe that you do not have any family or friends that easily have $1000 to spare.  Especially when you are sure you can pay it back to them in 2 months.
I'm willing to lend but I, like the other lenders, will require some sort of collateral.

I don't really have anything that could work as collateral. I have a desktop PC which would cover the loan, but shipping it both ways for escrow would be really expensive. My laptop, smartphone and things of that nature are all to cheap to cover the actual value; Chromebook Laptop and Lumia 640 phone. I've handled all my past loans over the past 1.5 years without collateral, and that was when Bitcoin was going to $1,000 a coin.

I'm getting paid this Thursday and I can upload a paystub including information on the total cost of the car for those interested.

Estimate came back from the shop, only $425 [huge difference from the $1100 from the professionals].
Due to this me and my fiancee were able to cover this repair without the need for the loan. So that is a relief.

Frankly though it is a shame how this community has changed. In the past getting a $500 or so loan on this account was
completely feasible. I understand there have been scams in the past, but I've remained honest in my dealings here.

Best of luck to all you.  Smiley
