That is very, very wrong. Bitcoin is so incredibly easily traceable. Have you looked on blockchain.info? Ever?

I think he meant that it's anonymous. Yes, you can see where the coins go but it's a bit harder to tie an address to a person (since you can easily generate a new address without any personal info).

Ah I see, but internet nowadays has been a free place to everyone. Those kids still could get the darkweb sites through other sites like Google.
I think OP just want to discuss it as the one of growth factors for bitcoin itself. But yeah, I think mods here should aware to those people who put the link of darkwebs.

There are the odd local shop that will accept it, but it's very rare. In the streets where its most pot centric you'll probably find Bitcoin users. It's still pretty early on in the game tho. We need better fungibility to make people feel safer when using BTC.

Drugs are not created to be addicting. Do you not agree with alcohol or caffeine either? What about medical drugs like painkillers or anti-depressants? Drugs can be fun and just a way to relax or just experience altered states and most importantly if people want to buy them they should be able to.

It is up to the individual to decide whether he want to use drugs or not. What he wants to do with his body, is his concern, and nobody else's. And the main reason why there is so much demand for drug dark-markets is due to the fact that all the soft-drugs as well as the hard-drugs are banned by the governments. Remove the ban, and the demand will automatically decline.

(Misusing) drugs are bad, thats why government preventing this stuff for people. And removing the ban doesnt guarantee the demand will decrease. E.g porn, there are many countries that legalizing porn industry (with regulation) but the porn demand is never goes down.

apart from that, according to different countries laws the crime for everybody can be different too. because apart from doing an illegal act by buying drugs, it is also illegal to buy from places like dark-maeket and those suppliers.
