When the government bans things that is naturally what happens. An underground market is born. As for drugs. Its your body and your life you do with it as you wish since its yours not some moronic government. Noone has the right to tell you to not destroy your life if that is what you want to do. Drugs have been selling long long long before bitcoin or even digital money like credit cards. Nothing is new just the form of payment.

I think bitcoin able to buy drugs, I once read an article on the internet that bitcoin is used in the deep web. but for me, I am not using bitcoin to bad activities. I am using bitcoin in daily life and good activities.

I don't even suggest you buy cough syrup via BTC, because how can you trust the person selling you this stuff? If you need medicine go to a legal drug store, if you live in Colorado you can even buy weed as long as you are older than 21, me personally, I don't take that stuff.

Dark markets have been made just for the purpose to let people buy drugs and other "wrong" things through bitcoins, there is nothing new.
I had a friend who used to buy some kind of cannabis drug and was almost traced down, so there is a risk of getting exposed or even into jail if using such places.

that's why government worry about bitcoin because some people want use bitcoin for wrong way,buying drugs is illegal.
Thats why bitcoin is being banned on some countries because they saw it as an threat to them. Yes bitcoin is really being used on illegal things because of its anonymity features but well it depends on the people who uses it because anonymity has its advantages and disadvantages though. You could possibly buy drugs by bitcoin but you could only do that on darknet and its not really advisable to do such acts because its illegal. |

Today these people will tell you that you are not allowed to use weed. Tomorrow they will ban alcohol and tobacco. The day after that they will ban coffee and tea. It is an attack against the personal liberty. |

It will really be difficult to get that because in the case of drugs, there are so many regulations relating to production, prescription as well as distribution, it is a very regulated area of business. Now to Bitcoin majority of large corporations that can actually established the infrastructure that will make Bitcoin a payment system as at today dont sell on a retail basis where you and I can buy and if we are to import then it will be more expensive than converting to FIAT and buy over here. |

it is happening as everything now is easy in terms of transaction, internet is really make it easy for everyone including drug user's and pushers the more they understand how the web works the more they can take advantage of it, so bitcoin for me is the most easy way to transact anonymously and that how they like it. |

Never bought drugs not with Bitcoin and not with cash and not with anything else however and for what comes to my thoughts I thinks Silk road and this kind of markets on the deep-web that sells drugs for BTC is the reason people aren't joining Bitcoin community , I mean the media like to point to this kind of stuff and this is bad , same goes for adult content website I assume .
Yes! you are correct dude, That's the saddest thing happened before that up to now many of the citizens in different countries don't join in bitcoin community, But still bitcoin users was still growing anyhow aside from being happened about in silk road. Though we don't nor we will, but if someone really wants to buy drugs using bitcoin he would first need to find a drug seller who can sell him drugs, and what would be the procedure for that again? A trusted and well-reputed person would probably not escrow any fund for buying drugs. |
