There is no need of black mailing bitcoin. I think from inception people purchase drugs and other illegal items with fiat currency before bitcoin come into existence. It is not bitcoin that is increasing the rate of illegal drugs business.
I guess in a way, it's the same thing as the gun control argument: Guns don't kill people. People kill people. Bitcoin doesn't proliferate drug dealing. Drug dealers/users proliferate drug dealing. |

Exactly. The use is increasing because there are people who want to use them, simple as that. And where there's a demand, there will be a supply, no matter what the circumstances are. |

That's true, but I don't think guns are in the same boat because you can't really use drugs to kill anyone. Meanwhile, if really deadly weapons are easily accessible things like Vegas will happen much easier and more frequently. |

Bitcoin can be used for any purpose, its a bad conection to drugs that some companies as well countries tryed to enforce bitcoin were only used for those dark business, the silk road were a big damage to bitcoin reputation, but the issues that bitcoin had fiat has since the begining, bitcoin has a problem that can be traced.
we do believe that bitcoin already been considered as a currency so what do we expect where criminals also got knowledge about this system and they will use every resources that they have in order to deal with their illegal deeds so we should accept that fact from the beginning. Yes, I agree with you, that criminals will gonna maximize everything that they can use for them not to be caught by the cops, and so criminals has the idea of bitcoin features that can keep their identity hidden on making transactions with other people. This is why people prefer to buy drugs and other illegal things with bitcoins , rather than local fiat. |

Agreed but such incidents are spoiling the image of bitcoins; if this continues and keep increasing then governments might ban the bitcoins or impose some strict laws, which will minimize the chances of bitcoins from becoming a main stream currency. |

That's not true. Most criminal transactions are still being done with traditional fiat currencies. |

This is sad because this is one of the reasons why many other people don't like using bitcoins. Its anonymity have been abused by this kind of transaction. That sort of drugs is illegal in my country (and I believe to most countries too) so it would be a bad image for crypto currency if people would still use bitcoin with this purpose. |

No i never do this type of evil practice and i suggest not to do such type of illegal purchasing of drugs. my view government should check this type of illegal activities and make shore to stop such type of deals. we should not use bitcoin for illegal activities its our own responsibility

We should never ever buy drugs with bitcoin, not even with fiat or paper money. And especially if you are earning much with bitcoin do not ever transact on anybehalf just to purchased drugs... No to drugs! No to any illegal activity with bitcoin. |

I have not bought drug by bitcoins but I think that it is possible, if it is not here but in any other part of world, as this is also a form of trading. Bitcoin is a crypto currency any one can use it for any of its purpose. Either the person buy grocery or drug that will be their choice only. As some supermarket starts accepting bitcoins as a payment there are possibilities that bitcoin also accept by the drugs dealer in exchange of drug. Bitcoin is continously growing and it hasn't left any area, where it can not be used as cash. |
