Hello,

I am currently mining darkcoins with my GPU powertune set to 5, is that too low? It does make my GPU temps lower right? Are there any disadvantages to it? I am not getting a decrease in hashrates...

Yes, it is probably set too low. What video card do you have? My RADEON HD 7970, Radeon HD7850 and Radeon R9 290 are all set to gpu-powertune 20 for the fastest stable X11 hash rate. I would suggest that you slowly raise it while keeping an eye on temperature and hash rate.
