Okay, that would make sense. Could the forum owner please post the "real" number of members. Would be helpful to determine the right price. $1000 is too much.

yes! We cannot underestimate *.org domains. Because, even this forum (bitcointalk.org), bitcoin.org also having *.org domains.
But IMO, considering the traffic/impressions, coinforums.org it'll not worth for $1000.
