For me I do not think that there is coming a big surprise for the paper money in the world because paper money will always be the number one paying method for the most people so i do not think you should worry about that.

Paper money is very hard to determine what is going to be its future. But still that is not a problem because people tend to use paper money.
And I don't think paper money is going to be out of the league when bitcoin gets popular at all.
It will exist forever in my opinion because that is the simplest means to use in all kind and forms of transactions, you can easily use it anywhere with the need of power and internet.
Forever? You hesitantly think that it will not be obsolete for a certain time? Giving the fact that we're making our progress in a futuristic era. There will be a high chance that the paper money will be removed once we already had a techno-world.

We can't really say that paper money is going to exist forever there is no such permanent thing in this world.
And I'm quite sure that paper money will lose soon because of bitcoin.

That is never possible, paper money will always exist, do you expect labors, maids, and poor people will accept their payments in bitcoin, they will prefer paper money for sure.
Yeah i agree with you mate paper wallet is always exist this is traditional money to spend. I think some stores not want to received bitcoin as their mode of payment

That is a part of development. Rock-Material-coin-paper money nowadays, and maybe e-currencies in the future.

We cannot expect that each and every shop will start accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment especially in poor countries, people who are not still aware about how to use internet we cannot expect that them to use bitcoins.

I think there will be a decrease in the amount of paper money in circulation, maybe to save on printing and other costs, but it will never go away. It could evolve into some other form but it would still be around, longer than you could ever hope to live.

Andrew Haldane said one solution would be for the Bank of England to issue a state-backed digital currency based on bitcoin. Supporting this initiative would be a negative interest rate levied on paper currency relative to the digital currency, with these measures do you think there is more possibilities that sometime:

Paper money will be banned entirely?
How long do you think that happens?
would it work?
What security and privacy risks would it raise?
And how would public and privately issued monies interact?

Banks always try to get whole money system controlled, btc does not fits to their systems.
Thats why their are investing now in btc, apart from it i doubt we will see paper money banned or something,it may happen but in a really long time...

Paper money is okay, i can't understand people who want change it on digital? Why? Digital money is not so safe cause every system can be hacked.

Because they are saying that we are now in the modern days where technology is more popular rather than paper money.
And it is more convenient to use if we are going to use digital money at all.
We all know that every system can be hacked but we even know that the most safest bank also can be robbed... We all are growing digitally..
Lets imagine the emergency situation where we need money and all the banks are closed but if we have digital money like Bitcoin then we can easily trade with BTCs
So, the paper money may not disappear but BTC will take the place of paper money Cheesy

The more people wake up, the less they will have use for paper money. Now even in Greece they are using debit/credit cards for shopping etc so the shops don't dodge the tax man lol and more are investing and using bitcoin and other digital currencies as they become available. When we become more civilized and create a more resource-based and sustainable lifestyle, we will have less and less use for centralized and controlled currency such as fiat.

Government will never ban paper money, as it is an basic requirement of individual and businesses, the  entire financial system of country depends on it so I don't think paper money will disappear in future

Paper money are already getting history in developed countries like Anerica. They don't hold cash with themselves and tips in bars and restaurants are already included in a bill. And cause of all countries are looking on a untamed States and trying to copy it - paper money will go in the history in many others.

Bitcoin is treated by most people as an investment now, but that may change with wide-spread adoption.
You shouldn't rule it out at this stage.

We just need to take a look to Venezuela to see the future of the paper money. 400% inflation rate. People are using wheelborrows to take their money to the shops.

The future of paper money seems to be good to me as I don't see it going anywhere and there will be certain portion of population who will keep on earning a living with it and will prefer to spend.

for now you can call that digital currency is something that is not safe. like the first time people make a bank, and people do not believe in saving money on third parties.
but all of it will be proved in the future. you will see everyone using digital currencies

I have heard a story like this also. It is somewhere in the Middle East where if you buy a cow you will need a plastic bag or a big bag to fill it with money for the payment. Bitcoin could help with that.

Well all of this is examples of unchecked inflation running wild, and especially with Venezuela's case being a terrible government that is ignoring its economy and country to fill the coffers and pockets of the government and shafting the individual. They print money to try and make up for their shortfalls, and now those who still have a job are having to pick up bags of paper notes for their wages.

It's a terrible, terrible situation for the country and it will be brutal for people for a long time. Crime will likely go higher than it has already.

Paper money will have a good image as is now, people cannot leave paper money because there is no any problem for the people to pay with paper money in their local stores etc.
Of course, how can it have a bad image when that is required by the government to use that. With paper money it would be easy for us to transact and it does not choose a certain group of people just to operate the transaction because it is easy to use it.
