Do you think we should have more forum sections here, such as trading / economy, development or something else? Or is it fine with the current division?

I think it would be nice to have a technical discussion (not just tech support) forum.. I wasn't sure where to put my Mac OS stuff so I just put it in the one that wasn't tech support Smiley

We should have a separate section for trading.

A "General Questions and Comments" section might be good also.

We should have a separate section for trading.

I strongly agree on that, since we have no market to trade things for bitcoins, a separate forum board works just as well!

A "General Questions and Comments" section might be good also.

Yeah, "Tech Support" ain't a good place to discuss general questions, or feed back!

I also agree with the idea for a market forum where general topics of trading can be discussed, and I like Xunie's idea to have like a trading post for sort of classifieds, where you post your goods and chattels for bitcoin, or grab a bargain with surplus wallet fodder. If you have that under market though, then the term 'market' is referring to a shopping market, but then the 'market' as in the 'laissez-faire, economic free market' should be categorized as a distinct separate area. I would agree with 'economics' to that end. Also it might be worth considering a News section, both for the bitcoin community and for public & press (PR). Both from and to the whole world, of any interesting developments that bitcoin users might be interested in.

How about this division:

  • General Discussion
  • Trade
  • Economy (or should this remain in general discussion?)
  • Technical Discussion
  • Technical Support (or just "Support" or "Help"?)

Also it might be worth considering a News section, both for the bitcoin community and for public & press (PR). Both from and to the whole world, of any interesting developments that bitcoin users might be interested in.

That could also be considered. A news section with subsections "Bitcoin" and "Other". Bitcoin news could be included in the bitcoin.org front page or sidebar.

Should we have a "Project development" section where you can talk about organization, bounty campaigns, advertising etc.? Any other name ideas? "Workshop" or "Project organization"?
