There isn't a downloadable GUI on site, and why....dear-god-why would you release something that took you more then a week of development time without being able to present it normal users? Its like developing an awesome sports car without a body.  I'm glad developers have their own currency, if that is the aim, PPC and Namecoin have a lot in common.  It'll never have bitcoin success or more without catering to the users though.
Maybe I am wrong but I do not think that bitcoin started out with a GUI.

Major reason not to use PPCoin: It's creator seems to be a dick.

There are some people who claim he is Realsolid or a BFL member, I don't know about that.
But he sure is a dick.

I would not want to use a coin with a developer like Realsolid. That is actually a big turn off for me. But I have not yet seen Sunny King act like this so I will not base my decision on this until I see it for myself.
