Source: http://github.com/lavajumper/sexcoin-walletThe SXC App for Android already in use enables customers and traders to exchange Sex Coins for services on the go without the need for Escrow agents, banks or the like. Hidden Forum Areas. http://sexcoinforum.com/index.phpThe thorny issue of adult contributions in the Sex Coin Forum has come up - one solution put forward (short of having proof of age requirements) is to have sections available only to users who have posted more than a handful of times; the more you post, the more areas open up for you. On the Horizon The SexCoin (SXC) wallet update to keep up with the latest security fixes and functions across the Crypto Currency community. Pools: Having a small but dedicated numbers of miners pooling to give the coin a regular block chain flow of transactions. Over the Horizon: There are some longer term projects including having the App available through major distributors... ...and a dedicated exchange with a small number of fiat currancies, alt coins and credit card facilities to transact with SXC - so far over the rainbow horizon that it's probably near the other horizon.

new thread?
Is this a new thread? Takeover?
Yes, it's a new thread, but... no it's not a take over... The user sexcoin69 was set up to post the OP for the last updated wallet, however, through a series of convoluted events, including LavaJumper making direct approaches to BitCoinTalk's admin to have to account released to him, it was felt that a new OP was needed with up-to-date information. All the links on the last OP are out of date (a couple through omitting to renew the domain name and another (the forum) having been removed by the ISP). Messages have been posted throughout the last OP (and there's one before that, but you may not find it now), however, inevitably people go to the first page and tryout the links there and find them broken and think the coin is dead. It's not... (There's a SexCoin Zombie , but I digress...) Ask not what SXC can do for you, Ask what you can do for SXC ...Join the Zombie Army !!! "Muhahahahaha He will feel the wrath of the Zombie Bonus !!! "
I've been on board for a long time now (and my status as the http://sexcoinforum.com/ SexCoin Forum Admin has been on my profile here for about 200 posts. Above all remember, LavaJumper is cheif cook and bottle washer, I'm able to be on the forums a lot of the time, so I can take questions and answers.

Ah, good question. I'm going through the 143 pages to work stuff like that out. Forwards to make contact with people, then backwards for stuff I may have missed. *edit* 35 pages down (plus a handful of the small <15 page SXC threads that popped up from time o time. Some people may have received the message twice - sorry about that).

I'd also like to start the ball rolling about the logo - I find the pink a little grating. Red is the colour of passion, together with black they make a good combination eg a black circle with a stylised pair of red lips diagonally across the circle. On a revolving logo, the rear of the coin (heads and tails) could be the generic male/female symbols. (possibly with the SXC at the base of the circle in small capitals)
Then later on you could have different value "coins" logos (think poker chips, but without the gambling) One SXC could be the Pink, Five Blue, Ten Green, Fifty Yellow, One Hundred Orange Five Hundred White and the One thousand SexCoins Black. (Black being your highest - think Black Label such as the Wolf Blass Black label wine ($110) or the Penthouse Black Label magazine).
Again on a revolving "coin" logo the generic logo on the rear with a grey shadow of the value as though it were stamped onto the coin during minting.
When SexCoins reach $100 US per coin (think positively people) You'd have to start looking at mSXC and uSXC logo's - but that's a couple of months away just yet.
Because the logos are going to be on main (ie accessible to the passing public (pauses to ensure that was spelt correctly) who might happen along) page of a web site, careful consideration should be given to avoiding using most body parts.
Having said that, I've seen very tasteful photography art with just hands or hands and wrists being held - a male black hand and a female white hand holding, (if you can't picture that hold both your wrists with the other hand).
Another logo idea, To bring in the wider GLBTA community if there were four hands (either right or left) holding the next hand's wrist - two male, two female - (but not male, female, male and back to female rather male, male, female, female with the last female's hand gripping the first male's wrist) this would give implication without actual statement of anyone's intentions.
Thanks for reading, I hope you found it interesting.
(edit) Forgot to say Burgundy as an alternate / instead of Red/Black combination

Can anyone help with this: ? So because I like to play with various things, I decided to try to solo mine sexcoin.
I am having a few issues with it, so I thought to ask a few questions to see what info I can get.
I cannot start cgminer pointing to my sexcoin client directly. The wallet is running as a server, and the correct port is open. When I try this cgminer reports there is no active pool and stops. If I start mining another pool, add the sexcoin local server as a secondary pool, then delete the pool I started with, it works fine for a while... After a time (it varies greatly) cgminer reports the pool as sick / dead and just sits there.
I did manage to find a block (it was orphaned) at least once, so it was sorta working...
I have 2 gaw furys mining for me, and I am running cgminer 3.1.1 as its the only one that I found so far that will work at all without giving me errors about extra command line options.
The command line I am using is: cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://ispace.co.uk:4453 -u username -p x --chips-count 6 --ltc-clk 300 -S //./COM4 -S //./COM5 --nocheck-golden
This gets it started and then when its running I can add my local pool.
Any thoughts?

I am not familiar with fury's specifically but, I am glad to help if I can. First, let's look at your config file. I have soloed sxc. Here is a copy of mine: sexcoin.conf listen=1 daemon=1 server=1 rpcuser=INSERTUSERNAME rpcpassword=INSERTPASSWORD rpcallowip=192.168.0.* rpcport=3338
Compare that to what you now have. rpccuser will be what you will use for the worker name in cgminer. rpcpassword will be what you use for password in cgminer. rpcallowip tells the wallet what ip address to accept calls from. Your computer (the fury?) running cgminer needs to be in the range. Your network might be different like, 192.168.1.* perhaps. Again, I am not familiar with fury's but, they should be on the same network with the same netmask. rpcport you want to use this number in place of the port in cgminer. In your pool string it is 4453 so, you would replace that with 3338 in my example. You can use most any port so long as another application (another wallet) is not trying to use the same port. You could use 4453 like your pool does, if you wish. Your cgminer command should become something like this (minus your fury specific arguments): cgminer -o 192.168.0.69:3338 -u INSERTUSERNAME -p INSERTPASSWORD
Make sure you remove the "stratum+tcp://" from your pool command when solo mining because, you do not have a stratum involved. Some other tips for solo mining: crank the queued work (staged work) up to like 696 or higher. (While cgminer is running, press s for settings, then q for que, then enter 696 and press enter twice). Also, decrease scan time to like 3 and expirery to 9. (While cgminer is running press s for settings, then s for scan time, then 3, then enter once. Then press e for expire, enter 9, then press enter twice) Different versions of cgminer lables/names these slightly differently but I think you will be able to fill in any gap with a little intuition. I hope this helps. If so, happy mining!

This coin needs to get rid off big bloated blockchain first. There is no need to drag around 1GB+ of data which causes syncing from zero to be a pain in the ass. Many coins started over with new genesis block containing all current addresses with balance over zero so why not SXC? Also why not switch to mini-blockchain scheme like XCN https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=713538.0 ?

Bitcoin is too big and important for such change to ever be implemented, there is also Omni and Counterparty and many other Bitcoin blockchain uses which would be killed if transaction history is gonne. Most altcoins do not have such burden but it is obvious that their developers so fail to realise they should not look at what Bitcoin is doing but go their own path which should include any and all modifications to how coin works. You may continue to think images of naked ladies alone will do the trick but I'm not buying that nor any SXC regardless of price for as long as Sexcoin remains a mere scrypt clone.

Why wouldn't you pay close attention to Bitcoin? It's only the most successful cryptocurrency by market cap and user adoption It sounds like you haven't done alot of research on this coin. Have you checked out the official forum sexcoinforum.com or the old thread?? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=252896.0This coin has fantastic branding for the adult market. As long as porn and crypto are popular on the internet I think we will survive Also the adult coins that have tried to "go their own path" have not done so well i.e WKC, TTC, XXX

Why doesn't bitcoin restart with all current balances in a new genesis, who wants to download 40GB to be in sync? 1GB isn't that bad of a download and shouldn't take more than an hour for most people. Agreed. And the android Wallet uses even less data as it only downloads the "headlines" for all blocks and the full block for coins in the various wallets. I've seen something similar to this with Casinocoin. We may now have some big investors who believe in the potential of this coin due to the SEXCOIN brand and the huge online adult industry. I've seen Casinocoin went from 250 sat to over 10k sat and still rising. Hopefully something like this will happen to Sexcoin. I'm a small investor in both of these coins, and I'm getting very excited.

I'm not too sure about what's happening on Cryptsy but please lookout for participating in it since you can gets funds into Cryptsy, but apparently not out. I'm waiting for a small withdrawal, ftc, for about 24 hours now. I noticed what happened with sexcoin as well as with casinocoin and to me it's too much of a coincidence. Has anyone tried to withdraw sexcoin? Not trying to cause a stir, just a heads up. To me it looks like the last twitches of a dying whale. Don't let it drag sexcoin down with it.

I withdrew 21k Sexcoins on tuesday. (100% due to the drama going on in the forums :S..) I didn't want to watch my stash disapear, really one should never store all their coins on an exchange.
I think the issue people are having is there new teir system... Which is probably required by KYC.
If you are Teir 0 you can only withdraw $100 worth of crypto a month.. Teir 1 is $20k.. Teir 1 requires basic info, no pictures.

I was withdrawing SXC last week. My withdrawals went through just fine, and extremely quick as long as I kept the withdrawal under 65000. Withdrawals of over 65000 SXC were just weird. I wouldn't get the amount I asked to withdraw, although to Cryptsy's credit, my balance was always accurate to what was sent to my wallet. My experience: - SXC timely no hitch @ < 65000
- LTC timely no hitch, but I only took out 5 as a test
- BTC is being reported as very slow by many different people
Also, Cryptsy has had wallet/withdrawal problems in the past and have taken care of them. Speaking from my experience running a pool, transfers can get fouled up if you don't do regular wallet maintenance, especially when you're doing a lot of them. My personal experience with Cryptsy has been that they have fixed every problem I've had, but not as quickly as I want. What I'm saying is that it is way too early to panic. However, I share in the caution about whale orders.

Humm Hey lava, does it have some lag before it shows transaction as spendable? I see the phone is on the right block but it doesn't show coins spendable from like 10 blocks ago. *Edit* nvm the explorer is only on block 119312,,, 1193605.. nice this updates quick. Also the scan qr code to send SXC crashes when I use internal.. just don't use that? *edit* Crashes if I use barcode scanner as well sad panda. *edit* Will test QR scanner when wallet upto date.

I've just empty my coins from Cryptsy to make the donation. There was no problems with the withdrawal at all. Sometimes when you make large withdrawals they may halve the amount or just give you a much smaller amount.

More questions lol.
When I run this wallet I am not a real node am I?
That's correct. The wallet is not a node and does not participate in concensus for the blockchain. Also, there are some known issues with the client. -The first problem is that it is WAY overrlogging, which can fill up small devices quickly. joewinkler has sent me his fix and published his build ( on github I think ). I will put that into the next release. -The other know problem is synching with the blockchain after the device has been inactive for a long ( 2-3 days? ) time. This issue is a little more screwy. I have one device ( A Dell tablet ) that simply won't hold sync. The coins are all safe, but there are certain times that I have to blow out the blockchain on it and redownload the whole thing ( ugh...serious pain ). - The notes for the next build are over on http://sexcoinforum.com. There are a number of features and fixes that will be done. Just curious, yours is the first I heard that was not successful with QRCode reading/sending/requesting. Could you elaborate a bit more on what you're experiencing. Also, what device and version etc.etc. (You can PM me if you don't want to post those specifics. someone sent 82k!! NNNNICE!!! This community is getting active . Lava, I haven't had the scanning QR issue with BTC or DOGE android wallet. Besides that though it works ggggreat!!!! This is a solid feature IMO, having the sexaddress and android wallet allows for me to have cold storage and a "Spending" wallet. I am going to try to sell some on kijiji get more involved.

And is Max Keiser still a fan of sexcoin? Any activity from him about SXC?

Hi meyer there sure is! PAPER WALLETS:LavaJumper advises: Whilst waiting on a chain download, I pulled the paper wallet code from github and poked at it a bit. I've got everything working except the vanity addresses.....
It would be cool if we could get a graphic artist to do an SVG for the template!

Bueller? Anybody?... Sorry EQ, I wasn't ignoring the questions, just didn't have a good answer off the top of my head. The block explorer with the richlist is hosted by sxcer. He is not only a great dev, he's a great sysadmin also. Right now he's on sabbatical from Sexcoin, but keeping his block explorer and seeder server up. I don't think there's a good chance of getting the richlist updated soon. I've been wanting to put the feature on my block explorer, but its way down on my priority list. Perhaps I can poke at it this weekend. Halvings are every 600000 blocks, so the next one is on block 1800000. Max Keiser. He's not being vocal about sexcoin anymore, but IMHO I think he stands by his earlier comments. Give him a tweet about it and see what comes back

I think the next halving will have us as 12.5 sxc reward. That would means the coins will be getting more rare. Add the aging elements of wider distribution and more and more use cases, the price is bound to appreciate. The richlist update would be nice. I think i'm getting up there. I may just tweet MK about sexcoin. When the alts rise from the dead this next upcoming btc bubble.

Is mining through the wallet still possible?
Technically possible, yes. In the debug console (Help > Debug. Select Console tab) you can issue 'setgenerate true' and press enter. 'gethashespersec' will tell you the speed you are getting. 'setgenerate false' will stop it. This is CPU mining. Even if you have the latest/greatest CPU, you are wasting time and electricity. You will not find a block because difficulty is far to high for CPU mining. If you have a modern GPU (video card) you can solo mine with it. GPUs are far more efficient at hashing and can give you the speed you need to, possibly, find a block.

What software should I use? Awesome. R9 290x's are nice. The best would be to pool mine with that. While solo mining is fun, it is a gamble. You might not get any coins. With pool mining you can be sure you will. As far as the software, I presently use sgminer (v5.1) because I also mine some different algorithms. Cgminer works well also but, be sure you get a version that supports GPU mining (v3.7.2 was the last, if my memory serves). Newer versions of cgminer only support ASICs.

Lava, any progress on that constant block re downloading for the android wallet?
Eating my data mang! lol. I could just dl it on wifi but... w/e lol.
I notice it seems to stop at a block at random for some time. I either shut it off and turn it on to start again or wait awhile for it to start updating blocks again.

Thank you very much for your kind words, lavajumper, but IMHO I wasn't really doing much. The very main work for this android-wallet is yours! I'm wondering, why sexcoin.info's main-Features-Homepage isn't pointing to any android-device and there's an arrow 'Most Popular Client' pointing to nothing!!! When will sexcoin.info be updated, I'd like to help, if needed.

Like, oh I don't know... ... perhaps... maybe... a faucet? I am pleased to announce to my fellow freaks, free-SX.Com 2.0 is in the works. The link to the wallet site (or rather, the website it links to) doesn't work - who's is it? I like this image BTW... I am restoring the faucet from an old copy of the faucet I maintained for a year up until I could not afford the hosting. Fortunately, one of my 'real world' clients purchased unlimited hosting and doesn't care how or if I use it. The image is from sxcwallet.com (aka sxc fast wallet) a site that did have sxc web wallets. Of course I would remove it and the other links to it if that service can not be restored to not take people down wrong paths. It was a good place to direct faucet goers to to get a wallet because they did not need to download anything and get an address to enter with, like the name implies, fast. Most of the links need updated on the faucet. Some of the other sites I did link to vanished. All of my "advertising links" need updated as I am sure most of them have vanished also. That and I have some big changes I want to try on the backend to try and make sending payments easier for me, don't expect it to open for about a week-ish. I have many other projects and I need to prioritize. That said, if anyone has any sxc related links or different ideas they would like to appear on the faucet, let me know here or via PM.

That's awesome. Should make a game that only accepts SXC lol. You mean like Slots or Dice? Oh brother... No, like an rpg. Gotta pUT sxc in to start playing The main problem there is how to obtain SXC to start playing or whatever else SXC might be needed for. It is easy for us here but just try it with an average cryptocoin-unaware gamer out there. Like, oh I don't know... ... perhaps... maybe... a faucet? I am pleased to announce to my fellow freaks, free-SX.Com 2.0 is in the works. If all it takes to play the game is 1 SXC or less then game can hardly be profitable for owner. And if you allow too much coins to be taken from faucet then you will be out of business very fast.

I'm wondering, why sexcoin.info's main-Features-Homepage isn't pointing to any android-device and there's an arrow 'Most Popular Client' pointing to nothing!!! When will sexcoin.info be updated, I'd like to help, if needed.
Rest assured, I'm keeping the links updated on the SXC Forum pages http://sexcoinforum.com/I'm waiting to hear that the faucet is back online and it'll go on the front page too.

Rest assured, I'm keeping the links updated on the SXC Forum pages http://sexcoinforum.com/I'm waiting to hear that the faucet is back online and it'll go on the front page too. Ok, wait no longer. It is open. It is a new database. If you have a old referral link, it will not work. You will want to enter and get a new referral link and share that. Sorry for that. A new thing I did get to implement is you can use your SXC address as the referral. BUT, it must be an address that has been entered with in the current or any previous round. So, for example, I could share http://free-sx.com/?r=1 or I could share http://free-sx.com/?r=SDjkzPWDjpsLtnVqUeQ9piNQHqLUV7dBCD I am ironing out some wrinkles with referrals but, don't worry. It will be stored in the database and you will get credit. Please bear in mind: 1) I bumble gummed it back together quickly to not keep you all waiting. I did briefly test but, if you get an error, please copy the error and PM it to me here. It will be fixed fast. 2) Things could change. Including the rules. 3) I will be trying to implement the changes I previously mentioned here and there might be brief outages. If you come to a blank page, count to ten and press refresh. http://free-sx.com

Great job, lavajumper! I'm testing your wallet with SexCoinAdresses imported from Windows-Wallet, and ATM I'm syncing from 2013 and it is still rock-stable and shows all my mined coins of 2013!!! Have updated the OP here and added information to the SXC Forum site. | For Android Beta Testers:The new Android build is up for beta testing. - Chain synchronization is fixed.
- Ability to clear logs manually
- MUCH faster initialization
- About box doesn't crash!
On github: sexcoin_wallet-0.10.8_alpha_1.apkSpecial Thanks to JoeWinkler!! |
When will sexcoin.info be updated, I'd like to help, if needed. sexcoin.info website is next on my target list. It seriously needs some tlc. Hopefully will have it after Thanksgiving. I'm thinking maybe a bounty might get it done quicker? Thoughts?

I've spent some time getting familiar with merged mining. This stems from my concerns about the network hash rate and the actual solve times I'very been watching on the block chain. I see a hell of a lot of upside to this, and am confident that we can implement it.
My understanding so far is that pools can share hash power from litecoin or dogecoin and use it on sexcoin concurrently.
Is anyone aware of a downside?
What do you think?

My understanding of merge mining is not perfect. I previously researched the topic some and think my previous findings are applicable and worth mentioning. So I will throw in my two pennies. For the sake of debate, play devil's advocate a little. The only downside I am aware of falls on pool operators. They have to maintain two blockchains, the associated overhead, updating the frontend, and updating the backend. Miners are unaware of the merge mining. Which, if a coin supports merge mining and a pool does not, brings up the question, "is the pool merge mining and keeping the coins generated on the auxiliary chain?". I would think the risk of lossing miners with that question would force pool operators to support the new merge mining, no matter the cost of resources, or, even worse, drop the coin. I doubt the latter would happen but, possible maybe. Perhaps a pool operator could chime in on my proposed disadvantage. Ok, devil's advocate over. I would personally say, this type of "marriage" to another chain is risky unless it is to the likes of LTC. That and, I feel, the hashrate will come with increased price (what you pay) and increased value (what you get, use). Is higher hashrate, and the subsequent more consistant block times, the only upside you're citing / finding lavajumper?

security is also important. If you can merge mine with ltc and get a bunch of people merge mining then it makes it a lot harder for 51% attacks.

What I'm really trying to accomplish is to get the network: - higher average hashrate
- more consistent solve times
We're still getting spikes and valleys, and although KGW is helping, it isn't performing as well as I had hoped. A higher hashrate to increase security, and more consistent solve times so its fair to miners AND investors.

In case of major Scrypt pool starting to merge-mine SXC that pool becomes a 51% attacker or much worse. And imagine a situation where that pool or one of pools with huge amount of hashrate stops mining for some reason, SXC difficulty would be so high that the rest of pools and solo-miners combined would need ages to create the next block. But even if doomsday scenario does not happen there would be a constant dumping of SXC by miners who basicaly get it for free, as an extra while mining LTC or whatever else Scrypt they are mining. SXC community should consider switching to NXT Monetary System. There the security is provided by NXT itself, big deal because NXT is one of major altcoins and no one there is even close to 51% attacker status. Also SXC Scrypt mining can continue as usual, as a way to distribute still unmined coins. As an extra SXC gets all features NXT has to offer like marketplace, aliases, assets, encrypted messaging and so on. Those features actualy require NXT coins but there is in-built decentralized exchange for Monetary System so SXC to NXT and NXT to SXC conversions are an easy task, all done inside NXT wallet. https://nxtforum.org/monetary-system-153/https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8paJFYHGv0QVDN2dXFaRTBFeFE/view

I don't know if it is even possible, because Gridcoin is so far away from usual mining, as it is using a very new Proof-System (ProofOfStake combined with ProofOfResearch with Science-BOINC-projects), but I would love to merge with a ProofOfStakeCoin like PeerCoin or BlackCoin or at long stay/stake IMHObestForScience:Gridcoin. But there is a very long way to switch into ProofOfStake, which would have to be done first, but is better than Litecoin IMHO. MergedMining with LiTeCoin or SeXCoin-MARRYing-DoGE is good for !!!SAFER! Se XC!!! I'd appreciate, too! Se XCoin is still VIRGIN!

I don't really see a downside, if Sexcoin needs a hard fork to implement this, then I think we can migrate properly. I'll offer a bounty of 10000 SXC for a merged mining solution that works with Dogecoin. If it is an either/or proposition, I'd go with Dogecoin rather than Litecoin because: Dogecoin offers an alternative path to getting into crypto, it you explore the community and interact with the people involved, it is easy to get some without using an exchange or converting Bitcoin. Litecoin on the other hand, doesn't really have a clear direction at the moment, other than being 'next in line' after Bitcoin if you are looking to have some kind of diverse crypto portfolio. I experienced a hitch recently that would rightly scare some people off, i.e. while Litecoin addresses are only valid with a 'L' prefix in the address, the client still happily sends coins to addresses proceeded by a '3', even though this makes the coins unrecoverable.

I was thinking it would actually stabilize the network hashrate though. If other pools could merge-mine with a coin ( or coins? ) that people mine anyway, then we'd have a sustained hash contribution. Multipools that switch in and out would have a smaller effect on the total hashrate. Am I missing something? No support to sustain the dumps from making it merge mineable
The dumping does worry me.

The dumping does worry me. Yes, there will be dumping but the coin will be more widely distributed and get exposure to people who would not otherwise have taken notice of SXC. The dumping will stabilize and inevitably some of those miners will start to hold their coins.

I think its a case of a short term pain for a long term gain. Some dumping will occur but the increase in hashrate and the accompanying increase in security will pay off many times over long term.
