Poloniex is not interested in coins with low development. They allready have plenty and delisting them.
Well to be honest, I don't know what the fuck's going on with Aeon's development. There doesn't seem to be any development or development communication going on whatsoever. Aeon was supposed to be the testnet for XMR or did I misinterpret that? Maybe things changed or Aeon is too different from XMR to use as a testnet. I had really high hopes for this coin.

Last we heard Aeon was going to be rebased this year in line with XMR. I presume this will happen, as Smooth seems reliable. I'm quite happy with not too much hype, and intermittent updates. This coin is a sleeper. As the global crypto community grows we could see more people help with development of this coin and that would be a big positive.

Yes that's accurate. I've spoken to smooth via PM and that is indeed the situation. Ignore my previous post. There's some good things coming.

Talking about exchanges. HitBTC have lots of CryptoNote coins. Monero is traded there from almost the start. Yesterday had 10% volume there and is most dayss second biggest Monero exchange. This might change with recent big exchanges interest but still. Why no one try to list AEON on HitBTC? I do remember there were some rumours here of fake volume and possible scamming there, but now if would be any truth behind those rumours I am sure exchange would be closed already.

I think HitBTC should probably be avoided like the plague. It's dodgy as fuck. My guess is that it's some kind of money laundering operation.

What bothers me is that they are laundering money last 3 years and everyone knows, but dont do anything about it? Can you tell us what is the thing that made you think of them as an "laundering operation". Or you just heard rumours here same as me years ago. I do remember when they started with Monero they advertised it quite aggressively. But you could expect that to do from any normal exchange after it adds new coin that wants to attract some volume.

Thing is to hurt an exchange or a bank or something that holds your money, you just need to start rumours. I personally never had any satoshi on HitBTC. Most likely just because of this rumours. But since this rumours in 3 years had not come true, i am slowly getting a big doubt in them.

I can tell you I'm 100% certain there was fake volume there 3 years ago. I saw it myself. The other rumors, I don't know. I don't agree that being around for three years is proof of anything. Worth asking why they don't list AEON already, considering it has more volume than some of the other cryptonote coins they do list, and has for quite a while. But if they want to list it, fine with me. I won't recommend people use the exchange though, from what I've personally seen myself.

...and so she rises.
I sense Poloniex adoption close at hand. Anyone else feeling that?
I'd prefer that we waited till we were a little more ready

I just became aware of Tux Exchange which reminds me a heck of a lot of Poloniex from the early days of 2014. It is a polished and classy small exchange with a quality handful of picked crypto projects to trade, and significantly less shit than other exchanges. I think it could be worth working on getting them to list Aeon, since they already list Monero. ( https://tuxexchange.com/) Also, here's a cross post from Reddit regarding an eventual Aeon second layer, because 2017 is going to be a year of drastically increased Counterparty awareness:
All the miracles and wonders promised to us by 'colored coins' and Ethereum are actually coming true in Counterparty. Programmable smart tokens built on top of a blockchain. It's not popular now, but it will be. But limited blocksize is crippling the possibilities for the technology by making associated fees prohibitively expensive... and this will only get worse if/when Bitcoin rises in price. Make no mistake - Counterparty is the current definitive second layer to Bitcoin. If you take as close a look at it as I have in the past 12 months you will surely agree. But we all know why we are here: Aeon is better, and will continue to be better. Additionally the possibilities for zero mixin and better pruning make a second layer programmable token for Aeon a much more tantalizing concept for long term viability. What I am talking about is years off, make no mistake. But it makes a heck of a lot of sense.

Good idea. Small exchanges are currently enjoying something of a renaissance, largely due to the void that was created following the collapse of Cryptsy and the transcendence of Poloniex. Another upcoming and social exchange is https://liqui.io which is fashionably relevant due to it being the only credible place people can currently get hold of Golem. I'll talk to them both.

Seems many recognised AEON as one of rare undervalued coins. Price steadily rose from 0.00013 to 0.00017 in last week. and yesterday AEON was most traded coin on Bittrex. Does this means we will soon not see AEON under $0.20?

As always, it's either up or down. To be honest, I guess it'll consolidate in the next couple of days/weeks, meaning that after rising so sweet, the price will decline. Of course, assuming that there's no major announcement during that time or someone going all in ... Nonetheless I am pretty sure that mid-term, within next months, we'll way above 0,20$. But that's just the opinion of someone mining this coin and holding a good amount ... So you better make yourself a picture

Yesterday volume was second highest in history of AEON trading on Bittrex. It was only behind 08.28.2016 when was 561k AEON traded. Yesterday was 372k. It is normal that are corrections, but I dont really see any huge spikes, price just went up 5-10% every day. Not many actually noticed it.

Price seems continue to rise and is now close to 29 August's ATH that was $0.194 0.00034*571.5
Seems we are in times when just all Crypto is bullish and hits ATH one after another.

You know, Monero's low was like 25 cents, and when I first got into it the price was 35 to 50 cents. How amazing if Aeon exceeds those levels eventually? The idea of $14 Aeon might seem absurd at the moment, but there was a time that $14 Monero seemed absurd too.
