The Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) strikes me as a good event. It was created by Serena Williams' trainer and Coco Gauff's mentor. The reviews I found about this tournament is that the organizers are focused on attracting younger tennis players. However, some Top 10 tennis players will participate.

^^ Why not? There have been lot of changes recently, so it's about time that this kind of format should be tested and see how it goes. Of course, there are going to be some criticism as there are fans that are old and traditional, but for me, it doesn't matter, if the game became more interesting and exciting and fun to watch then I will give it a thumbs up.

I agree, I think this will add some more excited to the game of tennis and we will always have the traditional events like the grand slams and the Masters tournaments. Cricket has been good with experimenting with new formats of the game and it has worked out well so its good to see something different for tennis and I'm sure that the fans will like it in time.

For sure, I agree with you all, it will add up excitement to the game itself. Tennis games have been with us for many years, and we even call some champions of the "modern era". So I think we are entering another age in major sports to adopt themselves in this time.

Wonder though if Federer and Nadal and Djokovic are going to join in this revolution. I would say they are the remnants of the old system. But I do hope that they will and welcome this changes.

I'm with you my friend as I like the long matches as well. In recent years we have seen some of the greatest matches in Men's tennis of all time and I never get sick of them even if they go for 4 - 5 hours long. I'm the same with test match cricket but I guess people just want to see something different these days and shorter forms of sports seem to be a hit with many people around the world.

I don't like what I'm seeing with the covid-19 cases rising around the world as it could really put a halt on many sports that just started back up and may even stop tennis being played.

Do you follow the Adria tour tennis tournament in Zadar, Croatia?
Very good and interesting matches between top players like Djokovic, Zverev, Cilic...
It seems that in the final, according to the current results, Zverev and Djokovic will play.

Ouch, this is going to put a setback to tennis games, obviously, organisers and other people behind are trying to get up and move in this pandemic and get tennis going again. But with this news, I'm sure that not only Djokovic and other tennis players are worried, but fans as well.

I can't blame Dimitrov though, maybe he as asymptomatic that's why he did play in the tournament (not sure though if they have pre-testing). But definitely, this is not the news that we wanted to hear.

Video shows them in close contact, but I agree that we don't want to hear this kind of negative news. Dkokovic have been criticized for having crowds. And then this news, going back to square one again, I know that some tennis players are really disregarding the social distancing and the new norm, but if we hear that a player gets the virus and then he has contact with other players and fans, then this will have a negative repercussions. US Open is going to begin in July, as far as I know, so I don't know what will be effect of this.

There was even some events organized for kids to spend time with him and some other players. Our press has smelled a good selling story and now they will be putting more news every few hours. Latest news is that 3 more players are positive including Borna Coric and that Djokovic skipped testing and went back to Beograd.

This will be another hit for the tennis going into the future. I am curious when will somebody realize that tennis matches aren't problematic to spreading the virus. The problems is in the crowds and all the parties done around tournaments as well as a lot of travelling.

There are already a lot of negative reactions and objections to Djokovic as the main organizer of this tournament.
Dimitrov was in very close contact with Djokovic and even played basketball with him.
Dimitrov was also a participant in Kids Day in Zadar, where he hung out with the youngest fans.
After Belgrade and Zadar, the Adria tour was supposed to continue to Banja Luka and Sarajevo, but it will probably be canceled.

@Daniel91 it has been reported that Djokovic has taken the covid test, but there’s no news about his results hence I’m hoping that he tests negative for covid. Furthermore Andy Murray has said that he’s facing a dilemma whether he should participate in the US open or no, due to covid incidents like these hence he’s not sure about his participation. What do you’ll think will other top player’s too voice their concern, against participation in the US open after this incident?.

I think the ITF really did a good job initially. But as we have seen in this tournament wherein Djokovic organized, it seems that they literally not take any precautions, pre, intra and post tournament. They party they didn't follow the protocol of social distancing and stuff t hat's why Djokovic is taking the flank now.

And then he suddenly disappear, went as farther as he can to stay away. I don't want to sound negative but he really blow everything out of proportion and didn't handle this tournament as it should be, specially with him being the top tennis player. For all we know, he could be very well positive already.

And then the US Open this July, probably it will be reschedule as most tennis players from this tournament have been tested positive already.

I heard that Dimitrov didn't feel well already a few days before event,  felt tired etc.  but didn't want to pass corona test.
