I tried it, and seems quite cool, just that I am not sure it sends out notifications instantly when a change is detected. ...
Thanks!
Yes it sends notification instantly after a change is detected.

... It would be better if you could state the number of transactions over that period of time, along with the current net change. ...
Can you provide a real world example which takes advantage of this scenario ?
How many transactions would you put and what period of time it could be ?

Well, not many people would need it for their advantage, but for business and tracking purposes, it may be useful for them. Example, they could use an address for their earnings, and track their earnings in different periods of time. The period of time could be in 12 hour intervals or less, and I suggested it because it would be nice and interesting to know the number of transactions, and the earnings you get.

I can't really think of how that would benefit others though, but if that is possible, it would look more informative, than just providing the change. Smiley

Most of online web wallets probably has notification functionality (?)
Personally I use several desktop wallets that don't have an ability to send notifications via email.
This is also useful if you want to watch address which you do not control (don't have private key)

I know it's an old thread though it's the service thread of this service so it's fine since the dev opened it.

blipp, I sent you a pm regarding your service. I'm not sure if it works anymore at all though I do not get a verification nor notification email.

Is it only me or have others the same experience?

Hope it can be solved since I like easy solutions.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

Did you read my pm yet? I think it might be that your mail subdomain does not provide the answer the mailprovider awaits? Maybe a new standard or so?

By the way... please hold emails and such confidential. Tongue

I've seen your privacy policy and glad to see it, but i curious how can you earn money when you offer this service for free.
It's nice service, but i can't use it because i use one-time address and i have lots of addresses.

Well I cover all service costs completely from my own budget. If I find customers who are interested in premium paid features -  I will consider implementing such features. Now I offer basic functionality for free.

Blockchain.info has this service and IMO it looks better. I currently use it to tell me when I get paid out from different sites. If you can make your email look better than theirs, or add another thing like adding a whole wallet and notifying me if any transaction comes into any address in my wallet, i'll use you. Cheesy

Well blockchain.info has the disadvantage THAT it has a wallet attached. If you read a bit about blockchain wallets and the problems surrounding it then I'm sure you would think over using them.

Besides, blipp is offering a simple service and it should be a simple website for that...

On the other hand there is room for optimizations like bitcoinmonitor had it. But their site went down later the time so I guess it was used too much or so. For certain purposes it is fine enough to get informed when a certain address gets funded.

I use it for imported watch-only address notification, no private keys at all, but even then, they can't manage to consistently send SMS and Android push notifications about watched address activity.

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

Been looking for something like this for a long time. I never knew blockchain had this functionality! I guess that having to log in all the time will be a hassle as I don't use them. Will g try yours for my signature campaign payments.

Okay, I've found a problem already. When I register my address and my email, it says my confirmation email has been sent, however I don't recieve anything.

I've tried this with Gmail and a private domain.

I have the same problem and sent blipp a pm about what it is probably about. I think he can figure it out now. If not let me know blipp... I might be able to help.

Matches the image blockchain.info created over time. Though bitcoinmonitor had problems too at the end. It worked flawlessly at the start but I think at the end it was (mis)used too heavy...

Hello,

I am working on a tool that helps to stay updated with BTC address balance. For example, it will deliver an email after payment to your address is made.
I think this is a simple task and I want to provide simple solution to it.
Put bitcoin address & email. And you are ready to get notifications.

Link http://bitnotify.com

You will get crafted notification to your inbox:
(btc address in screenshot is randomly picked from blockchain)

Each notification contains an unsubscribe link.

This is watch-only public address monitoring service. Without importing any private key.
Your email is safe. No spam. Read http://bitnotify.com/static/pdf/privacy_policy.pdf

Sending defaults:
Maximum of 6 notifications are sent to email in 24 hours period.
There is minimum of 30 minutes between notifications.

Please tell me what you like / improvements you would like to see.

improvement: you can send notification on telegram through telegram bot? i think is more usefull than email
