What does a Bitcoin wallet give you that banks don't?  No interest rates with Bitcoin wallets, no protection from losing money.  I would prefer to store my money in a bank actually at the given moment.

Just some answers on how bitcoin is better....
In many countries, no interest rate or negative interest rate for bank accounts.
Many banks go corrupted/ bankruptcy. No protection in banks too. At least bitcoin so far gave best returns in long term.
To store the value of money for a give time period, we can keep money in a secret box under your swimming pool or garage.
Banks are not at all better in anyways than bitcoin in my perspective.

bitcoin is more easy, when you want to perform a wire transfer or sepa for example you need to fill plenty of form(name, address bic etc..) all those crap consume time even if it is little time

with bitcoin i just copy paste the address and type the amount, no comparison...

If I had, I would choose a Bitcoin wallet.
However, very good to use both. Even the Bitcoin I don't does hold in one wallet just a few. This is the safest way to store and invest money - split in several places.

As Bitcoin would be seen as a commodity instead of replacing fiat currency, it is still good to have both accounts until Bitcoin is turned into the world's reserve currency. Nevertheless, a Bitcoin wallet would be better if it would be accepted at major businesses such as Walmart, Sears, Target and many other big companies. I'm waiting for Bitcoin to become mainstream adopted anywhere in the world. Just my opinion.  Grin

Till bitcoin goes into main stream, using both bitcoin wallet and bank accounts is inevitable because till then using bitcoin without converting into fiat is not possible. But once everything is available for bitcoin we can use bitcoin directly , then there is no need of converting into fiat. At that time people may go only for bitcoin wallets.

Online banking is accessible and simple too. You don't even have to visit the branch.

It all depends on your choosing, whenever you like the flexibility of having control of your own money, or to have the ability to earn interest from your savings account, I would like to state that each has their advantages and disadvantages. So until Bitcoin becomes a mainstream currency, it is best to use both a bank account and a Bitcoin wallet. Just my opinion.  Smiley

Actually you'll lose money with a savings account. Inflation eats that shit raw.
Since bitcoins are not that widely accepted yet I'm forced to use a bank account, I don't like banks at all to be honest. Last time I visited a bank I wasn't really pleased with the service since all the costumer service personnel were like robots. You can't really ask genuine questions.
