You don't have to use the button that opens through Bitpay. That window will generally show an address, and an amount, and you can use your coinbase wallet to directly send that amount to that address.
Sorry I forgot to get back to you on this. I have similar limits, they had told me that they can't increase the daily limits if I chose to deposit with bitcoins, but they can keep increasing my lifetime limits, as long as I provide to them my ID documents which will reset the limit everytime I do it.
