What is the wrong with sex and gambling

Gambling and sex is not related with each from my point of view i can survive without gambling but without sex it is like impossible for me to stop doing this so that it is not important for me.

In my country nepal sex is taken as most secret thing, no one shares about their sex life openly (if they are married). I am also one of them who don't share their sex life. But gambling, i can't gamble as casino in here are only allowed for foreigners. Quite a 15th century society.

Well at least you had a good mentality about Sex it should be more private on both of you as a married couple

Yes that is true sex is more private thing in many countries so it is weird to share our private sex life in public places but gambling is like fun and we do this at many online casino so for me sex and gambling have totally different meanings and value.

Many people are not ready to unveil their achievements or losses they faced in gambling. I do not understand why they are hiding when both are good for a new beginner to follow or to avoid. They are hiding their experience like sex life.

You are mixing two very different things and this comparison, at least, is cruel. Then a masked way to make legit (to use) and normal for everyone the gambling. Sex and gambling have nothing to do with each other. The first create life, the second destroy it. The first give only delight, the second only hurt (even when give temporary satisfaction because encourages to go further with the final result the loss of all the money), the first is made by everyone, the second only from the blinded and defrauded people.
I can do to many other comparisons which argument the not possibility to make together such things but for who want to know and understand those above are enough.

I am also agreed with you sex and gambling are 2 different things sex give us pleasure and enjoyment only but gambling suck our life and it hurt a lot and make us in great worry so that is totally different things.

I do agree that both sex and gambling are full of pleasure and joy where it stands why most of the people don't confess their addiction to both or on of them is simple they don't want others to judge them on based of their addictions and to avoid further complications in their circle of people (society).

As psychologist (i just finished the career, i'm still learning many things), i can tell you in gambling we are under a reinforcement program, which includes time. We (psychology) know as the gambling machine is the best "thing" to become addict a person, not betting or general gambling, is because the amount of reward, and the time between rewards. Once you get your first rewards you can get another in the next coin or you have to wait 20 coins more.

Is like to train  a dog, when you give the dog the treat, the dog doesnt know  when you will give the next treat, so he keeps doing the same behaviour (sitting, dancing w/e), our behavior is spend money in the gambling machine.

According to the minors, why drugs are forbidden to minors, because our brain is still developing and addictions are more powerfull when brain is still "young" and can causes more damages, is not about the kids knows or not what he doing, so gambling doesnt affect that hard your brain, but still is an addiction.

So i believe the reason is that addiction is worst while more young you are, but some countrys ages should be 21 and not 18.. with 18 some people still are "kids"...


And about sex, i just dont understand why is so.. taboo.

They are not harmful if you can control yourself on these activities.

Good point of view. Addiction for everything (whatever it will be) is harmful for the addicted. But is true that many things have different coefficients of addiction. So the coefficient of becoming addicted from gambling is different the one from sex or reading or someone else. Which is the highest? I bet that is the one of gambling. I don't have facts about this and maybe I'm wrong. But having in mind all that the gambling do to have customers when don't offer nothing else except the money of its customers and having in mind the quantity of people which gamble (in my country are to many) I can arrive in that conclusion. Every addiction offer something. Gambling nothing. Ye,s offer to win money but who win? I doubt that aren't much. Or better. Very few. The most lose. And being addicted lose and lose continuously.
