Good news isn't pushing the price. It's more the fact that people think the price will sky rocket as the halving comes closer and closer. They simply buy to not miss a profit making opportunity.

I was expecting it to get to around $300 by end of this year but at the current rate it seems like we might get there within the next week or two.

There should be more than enough support below to catch any dips as and when they happen so I'm pretty sure it's a one-way road from here.

It seems like the August pump. We get all excited and then it comes back to $230. Maybe I am wrong but I can't get my hopes up.

Good news too... look around and you will see it easy. Just the other day Europe decided to officially treat with Bitcoin as another foreign legit currency (so this means no VAT). This is MASSIVELY good news. Im sure this is a % of the price boost, among a bunch of other good stuff going on as we speak.

well yes i do not doubt that this can be one of the reasons about why the price of bitcoin raise up, another good reason could be gemini exchange too, but IMHO, i think is because the halving, maybe we are "suffering" the expected impact on the next year before we expected, who know.

I think that Greece have very few (or at all) to do with the bitcoin in these days. The crisis for the moment is away, everything is going normally (at least from the latest news) and have no reason that the people go more at bitcoin than the times of crisis. But even because I believe that the users of bitcoin in Greece are very few. And they don't use to much it.

Anyhow, in these moments the price of bitcoin, according to preev.com is 283.3 us dollar. If i will be stable this time?

today it has come down and was hovering around 286.
Was that a pump in prices of bitcoins or is has gained thatmuch traction.
I was thinking that it would be march or april 2016 when the prices would cross 270 due to increase in buying and holding, so it's good though.

I think crisis in greece no influence on bitcoin, because people who using bitcoin in greece still a few.
And now crisis in greece its been over I think and no reason to using bitcoin again for people in greece. Tongue
But whatever what makes bitcoin price go up, I very happy bitcoin price go up.

Come on guys, this ain't Greece. This can be China with their latest article, Gemini, EU with their rulling and maybe the halving expectations but it's definitely not Greece!

gemini, EU vat-free bitcoin, and china that unoficially allowed bitcoin, nothing else

while this may seems a good news, i'm not so sure about the impact on the market, that they may have

another delusional pump i guess...

I am keeping my fingers crossed for it to pass the $300 barrier once again. Maybe the influx of chinese users will help.

i'm sure we'll go over the $300 price level, but it can take a month or 2. maybe even the beginning of next year. i only hope we'll maintain the support at $300.

The bitcoin price at the moment is $286,
And last time that it was a slightly a bit higher $287 was at 30 July (based on coindesk graph)
I think that the bitcoin price is going to reach the amount of 300 dollars by the end of this week.

At present it is testing a range between 280 and 290
It will breakthrough in my opinion the question is if it can make it in the next few days or if it will get stuck here for a while longer.
Either way its been a good month seeing how op was at 247 ish
