I am more of a dog person, but I am allergic to them, so I do not get the joy of having one.  I could go out and spend a fortune purchasing one that is hypoallergenic, but I do not have the money let alone the time to dedicate to them.  So I will be happy with enjoying other peoples dogs.

Some people don't like me when I say that cats are smarter the dogs...

I mean, I don't have nothing against dogs, neither I hate them. I grown up with cats and dogs, but what I have found out at cats it can not compare with any other animal. Here is why (in my opinion) I prefer cats rather then dogs:

First fact - You don't have to care about the cats, after the first 6 months they are 100% prepare to take care of them self.

Second fact - You don't have to teach them where they have to pooping, they already know that!

Third fact - If they feel that they need a space so they can enjoy in their own company, they will show you that!

Forth fact - If you don't care about them or if you don't show them respect, they will left you. They actually know that no one can posses them.

I been a fan of cats for years, been thinking of getting a dog recently because of how dependable and friendly they are rather than uttermost selfish like cats, at least that's what I heard.

I like both. They are different with own advantages and disadvantages so they are not replaceable.
The cats are not loyal and the dogs can protect you.
