Could you provide the UID of your profile that got banned? Theymos is a very busy person and he probably gets many emails on a daily basis and as result, some emails will be left unanswered how ever as some other members on the other threads have mentioned, you should email him once each week until he notice your email and eventually receive an answer from him

If you are nice normally you get better results.   If you goal is to complain and pester until you get account back, I have a feeling you will have a longer wait then someone who is nice to mods.   They are only a few who can do this... they are busy.... so it takes time.

Also you can prevent this by storing your password somewhere safe.  That is your best option.  Instead of counting on reset and wasting time each one of these, just store password safely.

Have you used the seceet question to recover gour account? Many people apart from you are complaining about the same thing. Also, emailing once per week is fine however, if you keep on sending too much queries on email, your request would likely be ignored.

Btw, even in banned accts, you can still log in to your account.

Spamming the forum/other users (through posts or PM), impersonating others and ban evasion (Using multiple accounts to access the forum when you are banned) are the biggest three I believe. I don't think many other bans happen for reasons other than that.

Most of them gets banned for insubstanial post. They were spamming the forum so the resulting effect is a ban. Now if they created another account and posted outside the meta section, they will get a perma-ban for the ban evasion they did. Also people gets the perma-ban if they will be ban multiple times.

There is also a case that if you reset password with security question, your account will be locked. There is a thread in meta about it. Go read why.

if accounts does get locked because of the secret question (still not sure if it's true), then it's kind of the user's fault if their account got locked for doing something that is clearly not recommended.

also I've been wondering... it says "you are banned from using this forum!" there on OP. does that means he really got "banned" for breaking forum rules or did he got "banned" only for security? I hope a mod can answer this.
