So this whole ordeal is out of my hands since I have limited involvement with the business side of Mintsy, but I thought I would update folks with what I know especially since I promoted it in its early stages. Mintsy is a standalone joint venture between Cryptsy, and DigitalBTC.

Cryptsy was to provide the development DigitalBTC the mining, and hashrate. Without discussing the legal side of this they pulled out the the deal rather abruptly. Leaving everyone in a lurch. I know Paul who is still on the board of directors for Mintsy is trying to find another partner/provider, and then find a way to refund or recover lost work for those that had contracts.

I did find this article and I can only assume it may be related.
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/digitalbtc-reports-6-77-million-first-year-net-loss-management-nonetheless-bullish/

About all I know at this time. If I can find out more I will post it.

Be nice if there was a bit more transparency then. Mintsy.co is still signing up new people, there is zero indication of any issues on the front page and I've been told refunds are not an option. To me looks an awful lot like a scam that took several hundred dollars from me and many others I'm sure.

I asked about the new signups you cant actually buy a contract at this time. Still no word on a new provider since DigitalBTC pulled out of Mintsy. Has anyone written to DigitalBTC?

Any chance you could push for some movement on refunds waiting for 100% to be back on line could be anytime and later than sooner only going to cause more problems. Do you have any influence on refunds or just part of programming coding and promoting though cryptsy thought where related to crypto?

I can talk to Paul some of it is in legal limbo at the moment I am guessing. Its like going to dinner with a buddy and having him walk out sticking you with the check. I do think something needs to be done sooner rather than later so ill address it with him.

Thanks for the input and thank you for stepping up to take some sort of action BitJohn to get some resolve in this matter. My last response is them saying need to wait till 100% back online but this is causing me more problems waiting as, if things would of gone the way meant to of I would of been buying more hashpower, continue to grow capital within Mintsy. And right now its put me off doing any future business. I am getting to the position of taking legal action to recover my funds if it comes to it and am hoping it does not have to come to this and can see and refunds people while things are in loom. It would be far better for them to refund while having problems that way people have the option to come back. Holding on to peoples funds is only going to cause more problems than to cure and get a lot more complaints.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

It would be real interesting to see a show of hands by those getting hosed by Mintsy.
I think there involvement with Cryptsy may be keeping it from being in the spotlight.
But I personally have 4 large scrypt contracts with them and they haven't hashed for
almost 2 months now. Same BS from support. Phone # listed for Mintsy mailbox is always FULL.

Another SCAM.
Contract is dead for over 2 months without any kind of refund.
And surprise, surprise ... Cryptsy is involved... I'm finally pissed off.

Cheers

Well they said it and apparently they don't feel the need to deal with the mess they left.

Mintsy is not Cryptsy though yes Cryptsy owns a portion of Mintsy. Unlike DigitalBTC Cryptsy still wants to find a way to solve the former relationship to make folks happy.

The latest I have is the site is being shopped around I'll update when I know how that goes basically the new owner would assume the liabilities.

Well if they bought the company the liabilities wouldn't go away... I think folks should see that as a possible win.

Have you been scammed by Mintsy cloud mining service?

Press releases and ads said that it was a project by Cryptsy and Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) traded company DIGITAL CC LIMITED (ticket DCC@ASX).

Do not hesitate to lodge a complaint to Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
DigitalCC has a lot of money, so ASIC can force them to pay our money back.

Hey there, I too am one of those that Mintsy swindled and handled shamelessly for 2 months.

For me they are scammers, pure vile scum and villainy. They sold the contracts when they did know they could not deliver as promised. The contract I bought did not even mine 1 $ worth for its lifespan.

Their support adds insult to injury, with their lies to everyone who is asking for refund.

I was thinking about going in with a class action lawsuit against them since they must have sold hundreds of contracts, and I for one will not let them get away with what they have done.

It's not a huge sum, 150 bucks they scammed me for, but it is a matter of principle for me now.

Who else is out there that wants them to pay for what they did?

Remember there is strength in numbers, and they will be shitting in their pants when they see a crowd closing in where they will also pay for legal bills and damage compensation. We should organize.

Related to the subject and to confirm a hunch, is there anybody out there that paid with a fiat wire transfer instead of BTC, and got a refund. I suspect they paid / will pay the fiat transfers and leave the BTC paying folks high and dry.

I am all in for SEC complaint and the Aussie complaint, but what is better is getting organized for a class action lawsuit, and putting the fear of whatever they believe in in their hearts.

I don't care a bit for Cryptsy's intentions or Digital BTC being the real fraud. I trusted mintsy because of the establishedness of cryptsy and the ad they had on cryptsy.

Someone definitely is going to buck up and own up.

Have you tried that? I'm not quite sure that tips over the internet from non Australian citizens would be taken as seriously as if someone from there was actually going to speak with authorities.
