300 to stay without jumping all around is going to take quite a bit of sells to happen I think personally before it sticks.  I would love to see 300 as a solid price though.

I like 300, too.  It's a nice round number, and it looks much better than 200.  

I'm not sure exactly what is driving the recent price increase, but it's nice to see the price getting back up to where it was before XT launched.  That really threw a monkey wrench into everything and was part of the reason we lost all that ground price-wise I think.  So maybe not so much making head way as it is gaining lost ground.

Well there's always micro factors impacting the price
Gemini while not a real player was touted and had a lot of PR so that may have acquired some attention, the same with the MMM schemes getting more popular in China and the 1mb issue quieting down a bit again.

I feel if this price backs down, that the difficulty will not move much more than a percent right now.

Only because difficulty is sort of stable night now. Nothing too large and nothing dropping hard. Bitcoin probably will continue this trend of up and down because it loves playing at $300. But doesn't stay there long.

The price has been interesting me lately since its in a six week uptrend and the difficulty seems to be stable, I was looking up some of the calculated charts from speculation.

EV says that resistance -1.75 around $320 so assuming it passes the mental wall of 300 we will see a statistical increase in mining due to correlations that come alongside seasonal signal changes to mining. (Also known as it's getting colder)

But as it is presently i'll just continue to observe any mining relationships based on future prices as predictors and signals of one another.
(Basically if price moves up fast and quick difficulty will follow, or if miners get bullish price might chase after)

I think you are right not quite the wave I was expecting on S7's but it is a decent amount still.  Just not a cray jump, so hard to be to sad.

And price is over 290 on coinbase.  So we will see but price per bitcoin is looking really good during this entire difficulty change.

Since price is 288ish still feeling pretty good.  Great compared to so long at 230, we were there forever it seemed.

I liked being wrong and having it around 2 percent.  But guess 4 is not horrible we have seen much worse.

With price around 295 its hard to be to sad over it.  I'm feeling pretty darn good on it overall.

It should be a good thing as far as price on miners (I'm hoping at least).  But it could be a bad thing on difficulty rise if both start pumping out machines.

On a good note coinbase hit 303.... impressive hopefully it stays and does not go down below again.

Yes it will be an interesting few Months we are moving into. S7's being powered up SP50 coming on stream. Then Potentially a clutch of 3.5TB "Home" Miners from 3 Manuafacturers being available, and all that with the Halving getting ever closer. The rise in BTC has been nice to see and I have undone all the undervolting on my s5'S 

Can anyone throw light on why they think we have seen this rise in BTC? All of which goes to make even harder guessing the coming rises in Difficulty...

My batch 2 arrived. I am running it off the batch 1 s-7  I have almost a zero error rate on a slight down clock 568

my error rate is 0.0001%  I am getting 9150gh I am burning 2300 watts  the batch came marked 575 per board bitmain really over priced the batch 2 delivered them slow and generally screwed anyone like me that thought ordering a batch 2 was smart.

I figure I lost close to an entire coin by getting the batch 2 and not the batch 3.  And the discount was not 1 btc.

back to the diff.  we are dropping and quite a bit.  must be bitmaintech off loaded gear to ship.  we  have about 36 block left to go and are under 2.7%

It is amazing if we get under 3 percent.  With coinbase at 304... that would be impressive to say the least.
