Watch the Chinese exchanges; that's where the volume is coming from and every day it's growing.  It's apparent that some whales in China are pushing the price up.  Whether it can hold or not, or whether this is a few isolated guys pumping the price of a legitimate Chinese whale rush into bitcoin remains to be seen. 
 
If it is a few serious Chinese billionaires and millionaires trying to own an early piece of the bitcoin pie though, this could cray-cray really fast.

I would say the weakening yen is mostly to blame. China's economy is on pretty shaky grounds. The increase in the US dollar is also hurting China's exports, It's like a perfect storm to drive Bitcoins price to the moon as they say. And the European Court ruling that cryptocurrency is a real valid currency is just more fuel in the tank.

I am suprised how well people last year speculated that 2015 would be a low, and all of the sudden at the end of the year its on a rally.  so it is possible to guess what happens ahead with bitcoin. I wish i was better at that.
