I love IOTA, but why such a high supply?

What do you mean? IOTA has just 30% more supply than Bitcoin...

I honestly can't understand how come that people who don't even get elementary school maths end up on this forum trading some of the most unpredictable assets in the financial world

Because ... people. Learn to live with it.

The max length for a seed is 81 chars. Just use the first 81 chars of your seed if it is longer than 81.

For zero balance, read this - https://forum.helloiota.com/588/Help-My-IOTA-balance-is-zero-steps-to-help-you-find-your-balance-v252

WARNING be aware there's some Snapshot Recovery Tool circulating that allows you to watch your ballance at least it claims to do that.

It is of course wanting your online banking credentials   they keys to your frontdoor   your firstborn   your seed to accomplish that, in all honesty and glory.
That's probably the dumbest think to do since handing over your bitcoin private keys to some anonymous stranger.
The firstborn could be negotiable.
No, this seems to be even dumber than that, by the look of it.

+ just looking at coin supply (without the price) makes no sense anyway

I downloaded new wallet 2.5.2 today and made the claim since I have not transitioned all the coins after 2.5.1 release. I provided the old and my new seed but the proof transaction is pending since a couple of hours. I've reattached four times. Do I need to change something else? I also changed minimum weight magnitude from 15 to 14 but without success. Any suggestions?

danigreage: its easy to buy, just create bitfinex account, send bitcoin (or other accepted coin there) and buy iota.

This is the second article in series analysing the latest IOTA snapshot from 23th October. For previous Snapshot analysis, feel free to check my previous article. The four snapshots used in this analysis are from:

    9th June
    8th August (2 months later)
    22 September (1,5 months later)
    23 October (1 months later)

Given that no so much time has passed since the last snapshot in September, I didn’t expect any dramatic change. Here are the latest stats:
