Where is it possible to catch up with real time number of transactions?

Run a node and enter
Code:
{"command":"getNodeInfo"}
in console.html.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I think some people have a concern about the fact that the seed is stocked in clear in the config file.

I don't think that the seed is stored in a config file. Do you mean command window? If you don't write the log to a file then your seed is not stored anywhere.

It appears in the node log, so is visible locally in your device, but it is not shared through the network, of course.

wouldn't be more secure to store a hash instead of clear seed? (I think it is stored in a file, but I don't have the code here so maybe I'm wrong)

Nothing is stored. Don't redirect log into a file.

Anyway, cfb, although is a common practice, I also don't like printing passwords in log files. Log files are normally stored in physical files and big data guys love log files, imo is not a good idea to print seed there (I know we are in Beta), but for official releases, please hash it or whatever. I want to be able to use the node without locking all the doors in my studio and placing an antiphishing layer in my computer screen.

Seed can't be hashed, it will become unusable after that. It won't be logged closer to the release, now use http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10408816/how-do-i-use-the-nohup-command-without-getting-nohup-out.

CfB haven’t give any reason, just that the 10'068 txs for now are good enough to stop testing the version 0.9.
Version 0.9.1 should be ready in “dayz”.

Even I was a tester since day one and have tested every day at the weekend, I don’t have any further information here.

This means bug found (or optimization oportunity  Wink), will be fixed in 0.9.1. No sense in testing more, I guess

10k transactions is enough to test tip selection algorithm. In 0.9.1 artificial latency that led to a wide tangle will be removed and we'll test other scenarios.

Looking forward to it CfB and thanks again for the daily help in testing. It was quite fun to test and the team was very helpful to bring me up the curve.

pity for missing the ICO.

You can purchase IOUs (be sure to use escrow) from the IOTA Speculation thread.  (Often linked here, to lazy to find it.)

If you prefer to wait until it hits an exchange, I think this is still one worth purchasing when it is listed.  I don't know why but from general scuttle here on BTT, Waves and Lisk are the ICOs getting the most attention but I think iota has the most potential for greater real world adoption and success.

David (iotatoken) and many others in the community are working crazy-hard at getting the word about iota out to actual companies and organizations that are forming the emerging IoT ecosystem... and they are succeeding.

If you do decide to invest, please get plugged into chat (chat.itoatoken.com) or the official forum (forum.iotatoken.com) and help where you can.  At a minimum, you can download the next client update (which will be 0.9.1) and request some iotas from fellow users.  We can send you some and you can help test the network.

A Personal Quote on BTT from 2011:
"I'd be willing to make a moderate "investment" if the value of the BTC went below $2.00.  Otherwise I'll just have to live with my 5 BTC and be happy. :/"  ...sigh.  If only I knew.
