Definitely NOT!

Would you give some random site access to your bitcoin wallet?

There is no reason to let a 3rd party create your seed.
Go offline and generate the seed yourself.
You can find a few options here: http://iotanodes.org/seed/

IOTA is just getting started! I'm HODLing

Considering I bought Miotas when the market cap was at $1.6 billion, and saw it pull back to as low as $500 million, I'm definitely HODL.

Dom presented IOTA in the Tokyo FinTech meetup yesterday - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OdxGWXjwaG4

Thanks for the video. I'll do my part to promote the video. More people need to know about iota...

Man, IOTA is on a very very bullish trend. I think IOTA's potential is much higher than, other projects with similar marketcap.

I don't know if this is a stupid question but in the future will the IOTA light wallet have more security features such as a seed with also a password. I know a seed with 81 characters is all but impossible to guess but it just seems a bit simple to use only a seed to log in. If someone was out of chance able to guess a seed they would have access to all your IOTA. Just wanted to know if in the future would there be more security features added? Or will it always be only a seed?

There are plans for more security features: https://medium.com/iota-ucl/the-iota-wallet-time-for-a-refresh-d4207a16ea5f

Implementation for Ledger Nano S is also being worked on. Dominik said there is a chance that they will add it this year.

I just read that Bitfinex doesnt allow US customers anymore....Do you guys think the price will drop significantly now?

Now IOTA has to get listed on another exchange.

Bitfinex issue for US is not good news.

We certainly need more exchanges.

Perhaps https://bisq.io/ in the interim?

Why not just send it to your wallet until more exchanges come online? No need to sell it...

Hi all

I already know this info: https://blog.iota.org/new-gui-transition-phase-explained-b536ed80f412

but when I try to recover, the new 2.4.0 version shows me the error "seed too long"; indeed my seed is of 90 characters...what to do? is there a way to adjust or convert a seed too long?

thanks in advance

Hope the other exchange works out. Maybe Shapeshift will come through.

(Not that I want to sell...but try me again a .5 BTC.)

If you are on Windows, go to "Tools". If you are on Mac go to "preferences".  Either way, from there go to "Options". There is an option to allow a short seed.

I think we're entering a time when Crypto's will be regulated to death Cry... It's almost impossible to cashout BTC without an IRS audit.

Hello Team,
I just downloaded and performed the new IOTA Wallet installation. In the transition window, its asking for Seed and after I enter my old light wallet seed it shows message "Invalid Seed".
I was able to login to my old Light IOTA wallet without any trouble last week.

Please advice how can I overcome this. Thank you
