You will be given 400 Testnet IOTAs to get started right away. 400i are currently less than €0.0002, and yes, it is possible to transact amounts this small and even lower on IOTA. Simply click “Fund the Channel” in the SatoshiPay panel, which opens when clicking the round orange button at the bottom right of the screen. From there simply follow the instructions on screen and experience IOTAs fee-free transactions on the web.

All good news, but when to expect a „real good news“ (like for Stellar Lumens today), which will really kick the price?

Excellent read.
In a previous post of mine I asked what is a supporting argument used by those who say that IOTA will never function without the coordinator. In the above article there is a quote by Eric Wall:
"Withstanding an attacker with specialized hardware attacking the network at a constant speed is wishful thinking. In June, I made the prediction that IOTA will fail to disable the Coordinator in 2018. I am not convinced the Coordinator can ever be safely disabled, which means that IOTA may potentially stay centralized indefinitely."
So if I understood his argument correctly, such an attack can't be fully mitigated unless IOTA is massively adopted and there are millions if not billions of devices running the Jinn chip. Seems like a good problem/challenge to have Smiley

IOTA is really ahead of the curve.

Did they mentioned IOTA in their Strategic Technology Trends? Did not found any occurance.
And that Eric Wall did not convinced me much. Forbes seems to follow an agenda. We might see plenty of critical Forbes publications in the future.

But what I really wanted to ask you is what "Invalid Transfers Object" signals. I do not want any answers along "change the node, again" or "reattach again, and again". This simply does. Not. Work. I'm seriously pissed.
Been the earliest IOTA bought, and completely transitioned. Pulling out of this mess now, before it goes down completely. At least the other wallet emptied out nicely. It's really dependant upon one single seed.

NetObjex Showcases Decentralized IoT Platform to Global Audiences

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/netobjex-showcases-decentralized-iot-platform-to-global-audiences-300534141.html

NetObjex participated in the Bangkok Smart Energy Hackathon in partnership with IOTA of Norway in late August 2017. NetObjex demonstrated its Smart Metering solution featuring the GlenCan smart meters interfaced with the NetObjex IoT-Blockchain platform. This solution leveraged the ultra secure, transaction-fee-less IOTA decentralized network and its MIOTA cryptocurrency, and mobile SDKs from NetObjex. This solution provides a secure, low cost alternative for smart metering to communities and municipalities globally and disintermediates middlemen by providing a direct payment option between electric utilities and consumers.

I entered the cryptocurrency field in 2013 and watched the price of Bitcoin skyrocket from a low of $100 to over $1000. There was a rush to invest in Bitcoin companies, then in 2014 the price crashed back to $250. Investors that had become interested in the technology started to think, “OK, Bitcoin is dead, but the blockchain concept is an advance. How do we take that coin out and keep the blockchain?”.
Three years of investment later, the world still doesn't have any major live applications of a private blockchain. But what if this was the wrong question? What if the real question was “how do we take the blockchain out of Bitcoin”? What if we could have cryptocurrency, secure/transparent data transfer and decentralized autonomous organizations without a blockchain? This is what the team behind IOTA, a cryptocurrency with a market cap of over $1.2bn USD at the time of writing this, set out to determine.

copy from reddit:

There were a few announcements. The biggest was that IOTA just opened, today, its first U.S. office. It is in Chicago, with Bosch, in an IoT incubator called The Connectory.

-Their next office will be in China, likely Shanghai.
-Their $50,000,000 in funds just unlocked so they are hiring a bunch of people and stepping up marketing
-They have a $10,000,000 ecosystem fund for any developer who wants to build with IOTA
-Their first EV charging station with IOTA payments is going live by the end of this month
-IOTA Oracles are ready soon

Bold statement. He is CEO of Fujitsu Europe so his opinion has some influence and impact. And I think the company did some internal research about the technology with good results before a CEO of a honest company is twittering such a statement. Looks good for IOTA imho.
