Looks like IOTA is about to take off. Good support at around 0.40$ with less resistance compared to the days before.

If my last IOTA transaction was Sept 5th using wallet 2.5.1, should I follow the above directions to retrieve my IOTA or would it be easier to wait for the new wallet to come out next week.  Currently, I get "NO CONNECTION" on wallet 2.5.1.

You get "NO CONNECTION" because after the last snapshot the tangle has changed and the previous doesn't work anymore.
Install versione 2.5.3 and retry, starting with the old seed.

There is definitely a need for a decent wallet for IOTA.

There is definitely a need for a decent wallet for IOTA.

And as the founders of the thing say: It depends what is meant with “launch”. We will be launching the software in several steps. I hope to have something showable before 2018.

i did a ton of reasearch the last 2 days and compared bitcoin with IOTA, and here is what i can say now for sure ( my opinion)


a well known trader did a forecast on the MIOTA price for the year 2025 and hes forecast was 338$

now since 8 years is bitcoin here and its still kind of useless in the real world. best real world usage for me in bitcoin was that i can buy games in steam with it wow kind of sad.....

in my opinion bitcoin startet the way for other altcoins, and IOTA will make it, since it has a real world purpose from the beginning, and thats why it will be the coin of the future!

since everyone is thinking that iota supply is too high and in fact its not thats number 1
and iota has an real world usage purpose it will start with the automobile industry and BOSH number 2
(bosh has almost 1000 patents for it and they will use iota for it so mercedes bmw, ect has to use all the same technology)
and there wont be noone who will start to make there own technology for the IoT since IOTA is free truly free for everyone to use and its already here so who would try to create a own system like iota when there is already one wich is free to use( and fast!!!)? makes no sence for me numero 3

I agree with you, but unfortunately - in short time - I fear or better I'm nearly convinced that iota/btc pair will still drop at least until or near to btc hardfork at mid of november.

Long term of course iota will rise a lot and btc just made and is still making an incredibly performance, even its not really justified, its most 'case all crypto newbies want to get the free coins - little bit frustrating, however, that's the reason why iota drops so "dramatically" against btc now and why iota will lose until mid nov - my personal opinion. looking forward to any agrees or disagrees.

why do you need blockchain for this project?

Blockchain is obsolete and IOTA project doesn't need it. The blockless 'Tangle' is the future!
