I'm curious as to what's pumping the IOTA price so high? I've held IOTA for months, having to go through several recoveries with each new wallet update, and 6-12 hour transaction times trying to get it back to an exchange. In the end I sold the lot due to the frustrations with the platform. The idea is great, but it doesn't feel anywhere near ready for prime time. Am I missing some amazing news that justifies the pump, or is just market manipulation?
BUYER BEWARE 12/05/2017: I feel something is going very awry with this company. The transfer of my coins from wallet to exchange have been unconfirmed for over 24 hours now. Others have complained about the same issue with confirmations extending beyond 5 days! They are allowing people to buy IOTA but not sell it. Both Binnance and Bitfinex are experiencing the same issues. Absolutely no help is/was offered or addressed by IOTA. The IOTA forum/message board has been disabled on CoinMarketCAP, and they have no email or anything for help. They have not even added to the conversation on github to address the matter. Update: 12/02/2017 All in all it took 4 days to get my coin confirmation(s). I never got any support or help from Iota. Nonetheless, they promptly closed out my post on github to conceal the truth about their lousy network. Still... many others with no coin-confirmations for days, weeks, and months. Final conclusion, this coin is being severely pumped and manipulated... Iota message board back up now on CoinMarketCap. Do not be flattered by their big endorsements- it's all hype! an empty shell is what you will get. https://github.com/iotaledg... Iota Forum Disabled Below: https://forum.iota.org/

No one said that IOTA has even reached BETA status yet. That's why they say you are still early in this project. Massive, massive potential (against equal risks)...

This is really interesting. It makes it very tempting to cash out EVERYTHING and go all in IOTA for the long hold. 80% of my portfolio is IOTA Didnt they tell you to diversify.

Nice gains by IOTA, this is definitely a good come back after the Aug drop during which it was 0.14 $ MIOTA's! Hopefully more positive news will help IOTA grow strong in coming days!

It is really in the US were they reverse the day and month , anyhow the dates in that post are wrong even if you take May for the first date, then the second should be February. That does not add up. I think he just made a mistake and it was November, 11 instead of 12.

I haven't noticed this one until last month. I know the least about it among the top 10. Is this one related to Nxt ?since the OP is by come-from-beyond.

So
I still cant get my iota back
used to be able to log in and see it there....and its gone......since transition.
I can see it on the explorer but the transition tool never seems to attach except once maybe.....0 balance.....
tried to run a full node but the screen just disappears after I add nodes.
Cant join slack channel because it does not exist anymore apparently.
so how do I get my xGi back?

Sounds like the start of another... hacked story. Check your hash, if you've used the same address twice, it's likely your coins have been redirected into somebody elses wallet.

I've also read that one should not use an address twice. I have the following case and I would like to know if my tokens are potentially in danger. I have a seed with two generated addresses in total. For the first address, I once received IOTA. For the second address I received two transactions. So far I have not sent any IOTA with both addresses. So I used an address twice to receive tokens. Should I act or are my tokens safe? I totally understand your concerns. Iota is acctually not made for investors it's made for machines and reality usecase in IoT. That's one reason (beside the tech) why that big companys are partnering with it. And Iota needs to create that for them ASAP, because they don't like to wait. That's why Iota is actually heading all their ressourcces to develop the protocol to make it production-ready. But you should see it as an opportunity... invest while there's a bullshit wallet and laugh when that changes And by the way... it can't be easily hacked. Yust if you use the same adress for sending, twice. But i (like every investor) agree it's actually not really good usable for humans. Personally I'd send your IOTA to an exchange. Their wallet isn't safe. Don't wait until the next exploit is discovered. No... bad advice. The wallet is safe if you use it right. Never leave your coins on exchanges, e.g. if Bitfinex closes (by whatever reason) your coins are gone! You sound like a hacker looking for another victim. IOTA has serious security flaws. BE VERY CAREFUL

Yes. Wallet doesn't verify that the user knows how to use IOTA. It's a very serious flaw.

For folks who are still waiting for completion of reclaim process. A thread has been created on HelloIOTA forum that contains updates about the process and status. The reclaiming phase three has now been launched and the tokens should arrive soon. Stay up to date on https://forum.helloiota.com/1242/Reclaim-Status?PageIndex=1

With SOOOO MANY cases I feel it's a little unfair to continuously blame the user under the circumstances.
Imagine that you arrive to a town by sea and meet a guy in glasses in a shop. Is it a sailor or a librarian?

Imagine that you arrive to a town by sea and meet a guy in glasses in a shop. Is it a sailor or a librarian? It is not the time to pacify. Help educate people. That's all I'm doing. Hackers are getting away with millions! ETH forked to resolve issues like this. Lets try not to be smart, it really doesn't help solve the issue at hand which is better advertising of IOTA's inherent flaws.
