IOTA will be a very lucrative coin in a few years time, much support will make IOTA stronger, the target for 2018 is $ 50.

50 is unlikely. That's around half of bitcoin market cap. Lets get real for a second.

The days of 100x growths are behind us. It's already had that since the ICO. You are late to the party. If you want that kind of growth look for coins that are still in their early days. They way I see it, bitcoin will always hold around 50% of the market, and the rest will be divided by the other coins. Even if IOTA is a success and gets adopted, it may grow to #2, and in value maybe 2x-4x. That's still huge of course (and I'll still be in until it reaches #2), but the real fortunes have already been made.

That's half of the BTC market cap at current levels.  Do you think BTC is going to stay at $15k?  Nope.  What about when BTC is at $50k?  Yeah you could see IOTA at $35 or $50 in a year. Experts like Peter Schiff said that BTC would never see $1000.  You can't predict this stuff. You just have to hold on and see where the train goes and enjoy the ride.

Recently, Dominik Schiener gave an interview to a big German magazine for stock markets where he stated that IOTA is going to be a trillion Dollar project or nothing. I think a photo of the article has been shared on the Slack channel. In such an case 100x growth from noew is the prerequisite to reach this trillion Dollar mark.
Not sure what I should think about it, just wanted to bring it into the discussion.

Which wallet do you recommend me for IOTA?.

I downloaded from Github IOTA Light Wallet, but when I press "Attach to tangle" to be able to send money to my IOTA Wallet Adress, it fails over and over again...

Any better Wallet?

Finally I could attach to tangle...

Now waiting for the withdrawal from Bitfinex, as it can take up to 24h as they say on their website... boring

I'm waiting since December 4 to receive from Bitfinex.

If yours go through, can you please give a feedback? I attached my address to the tangle and made the withdraw from Bitfinex, but it is not completed yet.

Best regards

Finally I cancelled. IOTA Wallet SUCKS, and I don't want to login and have my Balance = 0. So... I will keep them at Bitfinex till wallet it´s improved...

IOTA is the future of digital transactions and a new machine-building economy. I am sure that in 2018 the coin price will increase by a minimum x3

would  IOTA be better off with something like cryptokitties on it as it would increase the number of transactions?

Do you think IOT price hike is like this usual pump that dev organizes at the begining of coin lifecycle?

Two new interesting utterances of IOTA.

Siemens

Siemens Energy released a tweet about charging electric cars on public chargers. A user asked if payment in IOTA?. Siemens Energy replied "Possibly..."

Deutsche Bank

Deutsche Bank mentioned IOTA along with Bitcoin and Ethereum in a report "CIO Insights Reflections: Cryptocurrencies and blockchains –their importance in the future". Among other positive things, the report states:

Quote
In conclusion: IOTA has solved the fundamental problems of blockchain, because it is scalable and does not cause any costs. The problem is, that this payment system only works if cryptocurrencies are compatible with each other, because IOTA does not have blocks and chains.

Can IOTA really scale that well?

IN THEORY it can scale infinitely because no one network participant needs to audit any more of the tangle than he is capable of auditing. It's like a volunteer thing. Every bit helps but you don't HAVE to help. But the software is still basically alpha proof of concept stage. Time will tell if we can really get there.
