hey guys. in a bit of a confusion here.
a lot of my watched topics isn't listed on my watchlist. should that happen? I've added posted-to topics to watchlist yet a lot of them are still missing from the watchlist even though there's a new post.

I think the threads on your watchlist will only shows those thread with a new replies. If a thread you are watching has no activity in it then it will not show up.

I thin the threads on your watchlist will only hows those thread with a new replies. If a thread you are watching has no activity and it the it will not show up.

yes and that's what I stated on OP. they don't appear even when there's a new post.
they're there when I check the Edit Watchlist page so they should appear when there's a new post. but nope.

EDIT
looks like it works now but not sure what did it. I just cleared my watchlist, marked all topics as read, then added them back again. though there's not many people posting at this time so I'm not sure yet.
will lock this topic and reopen if it turns out the same as before.

edit:
here's some screenshots so that it'll be easier to understand.

"Show new replies to your posts." page.

"Watchlist." page.

Probably you haven't activated "add posted-to topics to watchlist" before posting there.
You may check the status of each thread in your "new replies list" if they are being watched or not.

yeah I have only used the "add posted-to topics to watchlist" recently IIRC. I don't know about activating as I see no option of it. maybe you're refering to "Automatically watch topics after replying to them" option in the profile?
I'm watching all of those threads, that's for sure. unless the "Edit Watchlist" list is trolling me.

I was sure that the threads in the "Show new replies to your posts" was in my watchlist up until yesterday. also the threads $10k?? ?? and Have we left the 200's for ever? which wasn't listed in my watchlist (but watched) when I took the screenshot is now showing up in my watchlist.
and the thread how to become a jr member to start signature campaign? disappeared from my watchlist but still listed in "Show new replies to your posts."

hangon I'll just get a screenshot again.

Well, I don't know about the way the watchlist itself works.
To make sure, I'd check the status of each thread on the "Show new replies to your posts" list manually.

If they look like this, it should be fine:

If they look like this, something's wrong and you might have to watch them manually or make a new post in them:

I guess your "problem" is only temporary and will go away when you've caught up between watchlist and replylist.

yeah I checked manually this time and I'm still watching them (the unwatch button is there). btw it did go away when I cleared my watchlist and "Show new replies to your posts" (see the third post of this thread) but that's only fixed it temporarily.

screenshots before I checked the threads manually (now they're empty):
"Show new replies to your posts" page
Watchlist

notice the difference between these and what I posted above.

Im not sure I get you. The watchlist only shows threads that have unread posts. Im pretty sure you have read the "missing" 3 days old threads.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

I'm sure you don't get me. the threads that I have watched are not showing up in my watchlist even though they have unread posts. I have only read them after I took those screenshots. if I have read them before that they won't be showing up in the "Show new replies to your posts" page.

if you misunderstood the last part about them being different. I was refering to my 3rd post on this thread (read my 4th post for more info).

I've edited the topic subject to be more clear.
