I just hope this year Lebron retires, If i was to bet on finals I would bet on goldent state, simply because it is 5 mvp's vs, 1 mvp, Lebron is getting old his back is starting to hurt from all of the carrying he has had to do for the past 10 years, I am going to root for Lebron because him and jordan are the only 2 people I have ever seen in Basketball that can beat another basketball team by themselves!!!!
Looking at his previous game and scores I don't think he is ready to retire in the next couple of years. He still play like he is still in his prime. He want's to prove to his haters that he is great player. He may have suffered a back injury but its not stopping him to play and score points higher than those without injury.
I agree with nydiacaskey01 that he isn't going to retire yet. He definitely has a lot more juice to put into the game and as we can see, he is really a great player. All time that right now, can't be matched. It's just physical limitations, I think with rest and right relaxation, he is going to be okay.

He will not retire just because of this finals. He has many achievements that he wants to achieve. I think he wants to surpass Abdul Jabbar in most points in career and many more.

Instead of retiring, I think Lebron will:
- stay on Cavs and will reshuffle the roster next season and now he will get all star players that will help him.
- move on to another team that has all star players.

Looks like this user is just a passerby in this thread. Cheesy

You are the only one who hopes that Lebron will retire this year. 33 years old and still playing like not getting old and he will retire?

- move on to another team that has all star players.

All-Star players are starting to invite LeBron now. The first one that is aggressive is Chris Paul.

Lebron going to the west, that is good, it will end it's dominance in the East.
Well, the warriors are really good this year but we do not expect the Rockets to have this kind of success, if Lebron will join, it will be a big threat
for the warriors but the reality is that the East will remain weak.

Ok so Game 2 ended with another win from Golden State Warriors at 122 and Cavs at 103. No need for an over time today. On Game 3 I am guessing that Cavs will be again the one with the lower odds because of the winning streak of GSW but I think playing in the home court of Cavs will give them (Cavs) a better advantage. Why do I have a feeling that a repeat of GSW blowing a 3-1 lead again that happened in the 2016 finals?
I think that is very far from happening considering that the Warriors have already learned their lessons and will try to avoid that scenario once again. Dreymund Green is controlling himself now so he won't be suspended from a game because that is the main reason why the Cavaliers have climbed from that 3-1 hole.
I was actually thinking that the same thing will happen. Lebron doesn't get that much of a help yet but when he does, that is the time that the Cavaliers will turn the table. Kyle Korver and JR Smith were ice cold and hasn't contributed yet. A couple of good games from them will help the cavs go back to the series. A monster game from Kevin Love is also required to get a win from the Warriors. I also want to mention about the referee's, I think they are calling in favor of the Warriors.

Kevin Love and George Hill was really contributing, but I don't know what happen to the rest of the team specially Kyle Korver. I don't know if coach Lue is really thinking that Korver is a liability in defense that's why his time is limited.

But I'm not surprised if Cavs bench started to play as a unit since the next game with will at their court. We all know how it really affected players mentality specially if they are playing at home. So its going to be a good game and James is going to explode as usual but watch how the other players contribute and cut this to 1-2 deficit.

It is like everytime the other players score double digits Cleveland win. That means the rotation is doing great.
Kyle Korver, JR Smith and Green will need to step up. They can also use Thomson for post up since it is a small line up for Golden State. It cannot be all Lebron. It is easy to defend when they have the same strategy over and over again.
They need new ones. Like Lebron is the one waiting at the three point line or cutting on the paint.
I dont see that kind of plays. It is always Lebron as the handler and then he will try to penetrate.
Smith is a guard, he must know how to make plays.

Yes, I definitely agree that he can't do it alone. He can also take that much and sometimes is not enough to carry his team to a win. That's why playing at home will have a lot of advantages to them specially role players you mentioned. I'm really expecting them to really contribute like Korver, who is a not existent in this series specially his outside shooting. Smith's outside shooting and Thompson hassle play.

Actually he can do post up because no one can guard him except Javale McGee. I think Smith is more of a shooting guard than a actual play maker like like says CP3. But he needed to contribute and at least score 10 points to give them a good chance to win.

Tomorrow we will see if the cavaliers will really step up.
I believe they will give their best tomorrow and the number of days before the game tomorrow is enough for the cavaliers to prepare.
If they will loss tomorrow, it would be the end of their series as the chances to come back is very slim.

Correct, that's why I'm really expecting them to go out and play their best game otherwise, the chances are getting slim as the game progress. They have been in this situation against the Boston Celtics before, and came back, but we can argue that Celtics and Golden State is two teams.

However, when a team whose back is against the wall, then expect them to bring out the best in them. And if the betting odds are good, then I will take it anytime.

No matter how hard they will try still they can't beat a superteam in best of 7 series. Both starting unit and bench player are good in scoring. For Lebron to stand a chance, he needs a team mate that is consistent in scoring.

What?!! Are you freaking kidding me?!!! That agility and that strength is still like a monster. He just needs a bit of a help which cannot be done by other players of Cleveland. They are inconsistent unlike Lebron. He had been consistent with assists, scores and rebounds.

This homecourt advantage can tell it all. Then maybe the doubt of the fans will be out after they win 2 games in Cleveland. I am still hoping for a better bet. A fair one. I dont want handicaps and I want the fans of Cleveland to be as strong as Lebron when it comes to supporting him.  Grin

Tomorrow we will see if the cavaliers will really step up.
I believe they will give their best tomorrow and the number of days before the game tomorrow is enough for the cavaliers to prepare.
If they will loss tomorrow, it would be the end of their series as the chances to come back is very slim.
No matter how hard they will try still they can't beat a superteam in best of 7 series. Both starting unit and bench player are good in scoring. For Lebron to stand a chance, he needs a team mate that is consistent in scoring.
This is NBA buddy and that too finals you still can't underestimate them, even though warriors are playing really good I'm sure cavs are going to figure something out, I agree that lebron might be carrying the team but winning  today's match is really important for them

Lebron going to the west, that is good, it will end it's dominance in the East.
Well, the warriors are really good this year but we do not expect the Rockets to have this kind of success, if Lebron will join, it will be a big threat
for the warriors but the reality is that the East will remain weak.

East competition last playoffs is tough. No dominance at all by a single team. Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers put Cavaliers on the verge of elimination. Celtics also suffered a tough game at Milwaukee Bucks during the first round which lasted 7 games. It showed that most East teams improved today.

Basically that is still a rumor even Chris Paul reportedly invite LeBron James recently. Houston Rockets doesn't have enough cap space for LeBron and if the management really want to pushed it, either James Harden or Chris Paul must be cut off their salary on which I doubt they will allow it.

Grin

Sportsbooks opened a line of +4 handicap for Cavaliers for around @1.9 odds. Double the profit for hardcore Cavaliers fan "only" if the team won. On the other hand, -4 Handicap for Golden State Warriors with the same odds. It will attract more GSW enthusiasts since the offered odds is good and especially now that they are up by 2 games. What an offer.

This is right, i dont see the dominance for a single team on the East yet we can see on those teams who do strive out to take the top spot and you do see on how teams perform which signifies theres really a strong competition among them.Comparing performances on last years then same as you said they do really improved when it comes to their plays. Now talking about inviting Lebron to Rockets i do see they would definitely agree to the term even they do cut out their salary as long Lebron would able to set in since they do know on what the contribution that it gives.

Andre Iguodala expected to play Game 3 of NBA finals

It's a game time decision and surely Andre Igoudala will be seen on warm up. If he will be on starting lineup, still not sure. But if does, Im seeing a limited game time for him or depends on what will he feel on the court. Warriors are now back to deadly lineup. Like I mentioned before, Igoudala doesn't have an impressive offensive stats this playoffs "but" he is good on some aspects like quick points, get away points, unexpected steals, surprised blocks and good defense.

For the Cavaliers, again the consistency of the players is a must and not just rely on LeBron's offensive board. They are playing at home so at least it should give them confidence or else they will be now on verge of going home next game.

Iggy will be a big factor if he has recovered already. Remember he was already a MVP in Finals so he still has it. I think he is re-activated to play defense on Lebron James to really relieved Kevin Durant of this duties.

For Cavaliers to at least win a game, they would need to be perfect, bench or role players responded, less TO and try to body up Curry and limit his point in this series because if ever the Golden State Warriors win again, Steph will be the MVP.

Speaking of Finals MVP, can Lebron get a nudge for a MVP even if the Cavaliers lost? I think it will be the 2nd time in history though if even him getting it over Curry this year. Anyways it just crosses my mind, Lol. But I definitely agree with most of our NBA pundits here, absolutely perfection, consistency of everyone and not just Lebron. He's literally carrying this team up to this point but games is not won by one player, others have its own role to fit and get into their acts all together.

I don't think that Lebron will get the finals MVP as a losing team because Steph Curry is shooting very well just made a record 9 3's in a finals making assists to his team mates. So its really a good case for him to be the MVP. Unless Lebron pull a miracle again and have 40's or 50's point in the finals and won the championship then he will surely deserves to be the MVP in this series, otherwise it will be Curry not question about it.

Well, basically yeah Curry was outstanding in game 2, and I as well think that the MVP award will be on Curry this time if he consistently making his shots and other stats as well. But if the nba will base the MVP award throughout the whole playoff, from round 1 up to the finals I think Lebron deserves it more than anybody else. He has done an excellent job bringing his team until the final stage. But the MVP award usually goes to the winning team.

Ps. I dont like Curry he's a trash talkin piece of crap. Lol

Another win for the Golden State Warriors with Kevin Durant leading the team with 43 points. I cant believe that Steph Curry only scored 11 points today but nevertheless Cavs will have a hard time catching up with the 3 wins of GSW. I thought Cavs will have this game since its a home court advantage . Game 3 110 GSW - 102 Cavs

Yeah, the day was dark for Cleveland when they face Golden State in game four. It will be hard since LeBron James has less support from his teammates. Yet hopefully Rodney Hood will play the same way he play today on game four.
