NBA Coach of the Year
- Brad Stevens, Boston Celtics

We have almost the same pick although in Coach of the Year, Im also eyeing for Quin Snyder for Coach of the Year because he able to guide Utah Jazz without much big names (or even close to All-Star) and able to finished a good spot in playoffs.

I agree with you (because I am a Warrior fan Grin). If they will not change the current roster of the team especially the starters, they can dominate for 2-3 years maybe before a team can defeat them in the playoffs. Maybe if Lebron will go to Houston with Harden, Paul, Capela, and another all star player then there is a chance that Warriors will be defeated.

No way Houston Rockets can acquired LeBron James without sacrificing one of their key players. Rockets doesn't have enough space for LeBron and for one other superstar. The only team that can managed "now" to hold LeBron James plus one or two superstars is Los Angeles Lakers.

Edit: 76ers have just created enough potential salary cap space to ink James to a max contract in free agency with the chance to be paired alongside rising stars in Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. Source

Watch out for 76ers and Celtics these season. They have a young roster but we saw that they clinched in the playoffs especially the Celtics who doesn't have Irving and Hayward and yet they reached the ECF.

Yes these 2 teams are must to watch. They are young and start from scratch. Although 76ers' Ben Simmons show less aggressive during their game against the Boston Celtics last playoffs he shows good performance throughout the season. Looks like Embiid's "Trust the Process" system are now slowly in effect.

In Boston Celtics, it's a quiet a blessing in disguised that Kyrie Irving got injured. It gives way for more playing time to Terry Rozier and able to show what he can really do. Irving returned might reduced Rozier's playing time. Well depend on Brad Stevens how will he managed to rotate it.

Is Dirk still playing this year?

Yes he announced it and I watched it live. It was way back April before the playoffs started if Im not mistaken.

He is now closed in passing Wilt Chamberlain's total points and if injury will not struck him this upcoming season he will able to passed the legend. Nowitzki is currently at 31,187 pts. and Chamberlain have 31,419. Michael Jordan have 32,292 points and if Dirk will goal to passed this too, he needs another season to do it. Well record matters now before going retirement lol.

I was really hoping that LeBron was going to pull through this year. But putting one no against 4 your probably going to loose. I am still pretty sure he scored more points with a broken hand!!!

That is because of the stats but he is not really better compared to Lebron James, this guy is just good in the regular season but choke
during the ICO. We know who is the real MVP of this team during the playoffs, it was Chris Paul, if Paul was not injured, they might be able to beat the warriors.

A lot of people thought that it will be Lebron James with a great performance he did in the EC Playoffs and ECF and in the Finals. James Harden just had a great performance this season and I agree that there are some times that he did not do well. Yet I am still here, waiting to what will happen to the next seasons with a lot of great rookies on each teams.

I really thought LeBron will win the seasons MVP this year but I guess I was wrong about that. Harden pull off the upset and I think he deserves what he got. Some people would think that LeBron has been robbed but harden also play it hard and even grabbed the MVP award.

Both Harden and James played spectacular this season, its just that James has more Shaqtin a Fool moments than Harden that made Harden the MVP. JK  Grin Grin.

Harden played better than the past season and he has a better performance than Lebron for me. The rockets will not be the top seed without the help of Harden. James have some struggles within the season for me.

I'm not a Cavs fan but I'm expecting Lebron will get the MVP. I'm not saying Harden doesn't deserve it because he also did well and work hard for it. It's just Lebron deserved it more for me and I guess others also have the same expextation.

I think you are wrong here, I think Dwayne Casey, the former coach of the Raptors won the championship isn't he???

I picked Simmons here because he shows good performance compare to Mitchell "during season". If playoffs are counted then I go with Mitchell. Remember when Sixer does a 16 straight wins? Simmons is the key player here averaging a triple double. Embiid also suffers injury on the way leaving Simmons as the main man.

NBA Coach of the Year
Quin Snyder, Utah Jazz
I think you are wrong here, I think Dwayne Casey, the former coach of the Raptors won the championship isn't he???

Oh wrong deletion lol. I just have to comment Snyder that time maybe I became blank lol. Will modify my post now.

Anyways what should be my post here is; Snyder is really my bet because like I mentioned above, he able to guide Utah Jazz without a big names on their squad. The moment Cassey's name was announced, you will really feel that others got shocked on the crowd. The funny thing here is, Toronto Raptors already fired the NBA 2018 Coach of the year lol.

Playoffs stats are not included in determining the NBA Season MVP.

That is because of the stats but he is not really better compared to Lebron James, this guy is just good in the regular season but choke
during the ICO. We know who is the real MVP of this team during the playoffs, it was Chris Paul, if Paul was not injured, they might be able to beat the warriors.

During ICO? Cheesy

Anyways, season MVP is only for the whole season. Chris Paul might good during playoffs but Harden shows more good stats compare to him during season.

See? It was James who became the MVP in this era.... James Harden! Not Lebron! Perhaps Lebron will win the best puncher of the year... Grin

I'm not a Cavs fan but I'm expecting Lebron will get the MVP. I'm not saying Harden doesn't deserve it because he also did well and work hard for it. It's just Lebron deserved it more for me and I guess others also have the same expextation.

Well both harden and james basically deserved the award though among winners, victor oladipo winning most improved was the only one i got right. I think donnovan mitchell and brad stevens were going to win their respective lines but hey, it's been a good season for all fans so i'm not complaining.

Lebron is born be a losser. No matter how he played someone will overcome him. Harden put the Rockets in the 1st rank, Cavs 4th!?? Statistically Harden leads. KD beat him in the finals 4-0!!

Yes. That is my next option. Coach Snyder which made the "not stars" to become one of the stars. Really good with his defensive strategy. Maybe he can get it some other time.

Wow! I am not much of a fan of Dallas but I have seen how great Dirk have been specially with his shooting. His style is being copied now by most of the tall players with the one foot fadeaway shot.
I will be looking into this and I hope he can get that record.

Im seeing Kristap Porzingis of the New York Knicks will be the next Dirk Nowitzki. He's at 7'3 ft. , way taller than Dirk. Despite of that height, he is athletic and have a hot hands making good shots inside and outside of the perimeter. When Melo was traded, Porzingis become more of scoring machine of the New York Knicks. He's only 22 so Im seeing a potential to these guy.

Lebron is born be a losser. No matter how he played someone will overcome him. Harden put the Rockets in the 1st rank, Cavs 4th!?? Statistically Harden leads. KD beat him in the finals 4-0!!

That was too much of hate mate. You also bring Kevin Durant on the topic which should be out of the topic as we are talking about Season stats here.

James Harden deserved the award as obviously he leads all with his season stats. Honestly, Im with James Harden too last season in getting the Season MVP but was outshined by Russell Westbrook due to his record breaking triple double. At last, he finally got it.

Now the former three main starter of the Oklahoma City Thunders now have Season MVP title each.

Good thing Oklahoma City Thunders doesn't retained this players as those three are having the same playing style.

But the worst thing is, it's now again happening. Carmelo Anthony will remained in the Thunders with $28m contract for 2018-2019 season so another incompatibility of some plays will happened again between him and Westbrook. For Thunders fan, just hope that their blend will now be good so no such thing as bad chemistry will be opened again.

That's something that can be talked when all the 3 retired in the future.

And I agree with the Carmelo Anthony case though. It really looks like Melo best days are over so we don't know why OKC still gives him that lucrative contract anyways. He still thinks that he's a superstar, but the stat says otherwise, OKC should have used Melo as as a trade bait to get players that will help Russ because Melo didn't do anything last season. He is purely a isolation player, but he is too slow and all he can do is fade away shots that mostly didn't hit the mark.

I won't bet on this team anymore, Carmelo should be out, he is already old and injury prone.
Westbrook needs someone who can also bring energy on the floor so they can improve their defense and offense.
What I am interested now is the move of Lebron and Leonard, they are the hottest topic now because they have a chance to beat the warriors.

Before the 2017 season start, many are saying that Westbrook (Ninja Turtle), Melo and George will be a good teammates and will be a good team but for me they didn't do much. Anthony is not as great as he is years ago now and he must accept that he will not get a ring anymore unless he will be traded in a championship caliber team like warriors (if this happen, he will be in the bench already).

I am waiting into what team will Lebron and Leonard will go. I am expecting 76ers and Lakers but lets not expect too much. Maybe the team that we don't expect is the team where they will land. Lets wait Smiley.
