This is great news for the city and perhaps bad news for citizens of New Jersey who thought this would be their chance to get an NBA team back.
I have never heard this news, so there was a news about New Jersey acquiring a team again and 76ers was their prospect? I remember in the past that the Nets was with them but that was too long time ago and I was younger back then. As far as I know, there have been rumors of the 76ers possibly relocating to Camden NJ since there was approval from the authorities to build a new arena there. But, as OgNasty said above, that won't happen since Philadelphia authorities have reached an agreement with the 76ers. By the way, there were also rumors that two new teams may appear in the NBA already in the 27-28 season. I'm talking about the teams that will be in Las Vegas and Seattle.

Lots of news in the basketball world today. The latest being from the 76ers. Philadelphia’s Mayor Cherelle Parker came out to say that the city has reached an agreement to "ensure" 76ers stay in Philadelphia. This is great news for the city and perhaps bad news for citizens of New Jersey who thought this would be their chance to get an NBA team back.
Just to stretch about this news, here is a link and an article about it. Sixers’ $1.5B arena plan stokes ‘rendering wars’ across New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvaniahttps://whyy.org/articles/philadelphia-sixers-arena-renderings-new-jersey-delaware-pennsylvania/It’s no secret that the Philadelphia 76ers NBA basketball team owners have been dribbling around for a new home for several years. And the way competition is mounting among suitors, the team could score its new home anywhere in the tri-state region: Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Delaware. Sports economists and community members argue that’s what businesses do — create a heightened interest and a bidding war among prospective locations, so they can walk away with the best incentives. The ultimate goal of sports teams is to fetch the largest economic incentives from politicians eager to bring jobs to their respective constituents. "Best incentives." When a new Mayor is elected, he/she does want his followers to have jobs, and gaining an NBA team will give a lot of jobs for those supporters, and team owners want that to happen which is why it all goes to bidding. The New Jersey Economic Development Authority and State of New Jersey pitched $800 million in economic incentives to the 76ers to redevelop the site of the former Riverfront State Prison, which was demolished in 2010. Out of curiosity, if New Jersey wins that bid and the 76ers will play there, will they be called New Jersey 76ers? I don't really understand this kind of thing. That will be kind of awkward because it was well-known as the Philadelphia 76ers. Well, I think that's not going to happen anytime soon. Is it the same when the Nets were now in Brooklyn which is why the state name changed?

Seattle has been a mainstream in the NBA if I'm not mistaken, and they are called Supersonics until it was rebranded or relocated to become Oklahoma City Thunder or what we know now as OKC. They had a storied NBA history with Shawn Kemp and the Glove Gary Payton and other great superstars before them. And with Las Vegas, yeah could be a good city to have a NBA team. Reports says that Lebron is willing to put up a team from team. And if my memory serves me right, Floyd Mayweather too is very interested in bringing his city to the NBA.

I don't think that'll work either for both teams. Doncic and Giannis are both a franchise player, so trading them away is not in their books.
And so as Klay and Steph. In NBA, it's true that there are franchise players but if there is something going on then one thing is for sure. Regardless of the treatment of the team to their main stay players. The chance of moving onto another team is there.

Especially if the money speak loudly, even how team tried to secure their stars there's still chance that either the player itself will ask for the trade or the offers is something that managements won't be able to resist, it's a business and what's important for each owners is how to make more, even they'll stake thier main star they will go to that route. Let see if there's big movements like this to happen before the trade deadline, what surprise might it be for the fans..

And so as Klay and Steph. There is only one franchise player though in GSW, and that is Steph and not Klay. And this is the same reason why KD left the Warriors as he felt that even if he has done a lot and giving the Dubs 2 rings, it's not enough for him to get the "respect" that he deserves being a Warrior. In NBA, it's true that there are franchise players but if there is something going on then one thing is for sure. Regardless of the treatment of the team to their main stay players.

Definitely, we can say that about the break up between Shaq and the Lakers, we thought that Shaq should be the franchise player. But the Lakers chooses Kobe, maybe there are some powerful people behind the Lakers management that vetoed that's why Shaq was left go and Kobe proving himself to be the franchise player after that and so they make the right decision.

That's a brief yet concise summary on how this has happened before with the proposal of Camden NJ. By the way, there were also rumors that two new teams may appear in the NBA already in the 27-28 season. I'm talking about the teams that will be in Las Vegas and Seattle.
Seattle Sonics will be back? That's an interesting team and I think that's where KD has started his career, cmiiw. And as for the Las Vegas team, wasn't this where Lebron, Shaq and the other veterans are interested of acquiring and become team owners? I've also seen some news about Adam Silver said that they're also in finalization of things before Boston Celtics will be sold to a new owner.

Seattle and LV are by far the front runners to be the next new teams in the league, this has been in the media in forever. Even though the Sonics left many years ago basketball is still super popular in Seattle, also they have an arena which is ready to play at. Basically everything speaks for Seattle (such as LV) and the NBA can't wait to get the expansion on the way, more teams means more money to make obviously. And as we all know, the NBA is all about money.

And so as Klay and Steph. In NBA, it's true that there are franchise players but if there is something going on then one thing is for sure. Regardless of the treatment of the team to their main stay players. The chance of moving onto another team is there. Klay's scenario is different as for the other 3. Steph, Luka and Giannis is still playing at their best currently while Klay's washed. The Warriors didn't trade him when he's on his best, but when they felt that it's over for him, they just let him go away. Franchise players can stay on their team, but once they're washed or aren't contributing to that team anymore, they can just go to another team. Like what @Oasisman said, I also believe that both Luka and Giannis will not be traded to another team unless: either one of them requests to do so, or if the management wants them to get traded and between the two, the first one is most likely to happen, but it isn't now or at least in the next 1-2 years. Yes there's always a chance for any player, superstar or not to get traded, but there are certain factors as well for that to happen. It's just not like, they will trade every player because they wanted to.

More teams, means that we're going to have more players. A lot of money indeed is going to flow once again on the league.

There are some players that are not even key players that have chosen to stay with their teams like Udonis Haslem.
He played a key role, but it seems like his primary role was more of a mentor to the team, which is probably why he didn’t retire earlier, even though his minutes were reduced. But as for the record now, he’s retired, right? The case of Klay isn't different from the rest of the three because it's no doubt that aside from Steph, Warriors has had him as one of their stars and franchise players.
But that's how the NBA goes, when someone is injured and doesn't play good anymore, they'd just let it go.
Klay is still good, no doubt about it. He’s probably still working on regaining his full confidence, and maybe moving to another team could be the right solution. I’m optimistic that he could help the Dallas franchise win another championship. As long as Klay stays healthy next season, I’m sure he can contribute a lot to the team. Honestly, I don’t think the Warriors can win another championship without Klay. He’s saved them so many times, especially during those crucial moments. If you’re familiar with "Game 6 Klay," you know how big of an impact he had on their championship runs.

There are some players that are not even key players that have chosen to stay with their teams like Udonis Haslem.
Haslem, as a player, was mediocre. Personally, I mostly only remember him from the 05/06 season when the Heat won their first title. At that time, especially in the playoffs, he was occasionally useful to the team and definitely contributed some to that win. I think he developed a good relationship with the Heat management after that and that's probably one of the reasons why he was with the Heat for so long. In actually, the last few seasons of his career, he wasn't even a player but more of a mentor on the bench.

But of course, we can’t forget his contribution to the Heat’s championship run before. This player, while not heavily focused on offense, was a hard worker. Even though he’s not that tall, he could hold his own against centers. It seems like he really embraced the Heat culture and maintained it, which made him a great mentor for the team. Imagine, the Heat didn’t have many big-name players, yet they still made it to the NBA Finals twice..against the Lakers and the Nuggets. That just shows how strong their team culture (heat culture) and work ethic are.

He played a key role, but it seems like his primary role was more of a mentor to the team, which is probably why he didn’t retire earlier, even though his minutes were reduced. But as for the record now, he’s retired, right? Yes, he's retired now but on his career days with the Heat, he's like more of a supporting player than the likes of Steph and other stars.
I'm also optimistic about his transfer to Mavs and at least we'll see three stars now there. Before it was just Luka, then Kyrie came and now with Klay. Honestly, I don’t think the Warriors can win another championship without Klay. He’s saved them so many times, especially during those crucial moments. If you’re familiar with "Game 6 Klay," you know how big of an impact he had on their championship runs.
Without him, they're still considered as a contender for this upcoming season though. But you're probably right, it's just different that he's gone with the dub. There are some players that are not even key players that have chosen to stay with their teams like Udonis Haslem.

The last seasons are understandable because he's no longer able to contribute inside the court but through morals but he did have got a wonderful stay with the Heat. It is one of the teams that I think players can stay for so long until they retire like Wade for which coincidentally is also your username.

Haslem case is an exception though, his presence could have been valued by the Miami Heat management that's why they kept him a contract and he chooses to stay. He is not a good player that teams are going to be interested on getting. And we can see that there was a time when him and Butler gets into an argument with Haslem, and Udonis would not back out. Denver Nuggets NBA Champion Makes Strong Russell Westbrook Statement https://www.si.com/nba/nuggets/news/denver-nuggets-nba-champion-makes-strong-russell-westbrook-statement-01j86h9q292eDuring a recent interview with The Denver Post, Nuggets guard Christian Braun spoke on Westbrook.
“I love his game," Braun said. "I loved his game when I was young. I love his game now. I think his energy, his tenacity, those are all things that every team needs. He loves the game. He plays it with the right intensity. … The way he plays, downhill, so aggressive, so tough.” I agree with Christian Braun here. The energy of Westbrook is different and I can remember one time that he led the Clippers to almost winning a game despite being in a large deficit against a team I forgot. My eyes were only on Westbrook and I could see in his movements that he badly wanted to win that game despite playing with the bench. I think many players of the Clippers were injured at that time so he was given the opportunity for more minutes. His energy is something the Nuggets bench will need and he will probably be their ace when the Nuggets stars take their rest. "I know (Westbrook) will bring positive things to our team,” Braun added. “I think he’s somebody who’ll bring a hunger and excitement for the game.” I think it will be a different Nuggets bench this season because of WB.

While I do agree that stadiums do bring in a lot of money for the city as well, and all the vendors and shops and whatever around the stadium makes a lot of money and it's even beyond that, it's like a proud to have a team etc etc, but the fact that these billionaires uses tax payer money to build stadiums still feel scammy to me. They are basically scamming tax payers to build a new stadium because they know that if one city doesn't then another city would.
It's same for NBA it's same for NFL and it's even same for football as well, Real Madrid built a billion dollar stadium and they used so much of city money to make that too, some from their pocket of course but they got so much help. So we should be seeing these billionaires and rich people pay the stadium from their pocket, just because they are providing some economy to their surroundings doesn't mean that they can't afford it, asking for it from regular people like you and me when they can afford it is a shameless act.

Right, WB's energy is electrifying and it could have a domino effect on this team mate and for sure like Braun said, he is looking forward to work and see how in real game his hard work will translate to the team. For sure Nuggets fans are going to be excited as well with the pairing of WB with the likes of Murray and MPJ. And I'm seeing that there could be games that he might lead the team in either scoring or assists or maybe he will really contribute big if he will be given enough time to showcase his talent again.

That's why he's perfect fit on Nuggets he will be the energizer on the bench and for sure he can help Nuggets since their second unit will be so strong in presence of Westbrook. I don't know why other say that he's not good anymore although he's performance decline his performance still good and he can play a lot of games with his team. I'm also excited on Jokic,Murray and Westbrook to play together on court since for sure they can contribute on each corner especially that they are playing in different positions. Many say Westbrook will be the curse of Nuggets but let see if he really is, maybe from his current team he can finally get his championship since Nuggets still a title contender team this season.
