nothing we can do now but move on, even CP3 couldn’t win a championship with the Suns because they got stopped by Giannis and the crew. Now both teams actually look good (Suns and Rockets), except the Bucks - but it’s still too early to judge. A lot can still happen since the season ends next year.

For now though, we can give Durant credit for what he brought to the Rockets.

To be fair CP3 had a lot of bad decisions on teams when he makes a move, it was a bit on him to fail to win a ring all his career considering how he makes his picks.

Suns was obvious that they wouldn't win, they trusted the entire team on a very old CP3, and a young Booker, with Durant carrying the load, that wasn't good enough and we all knew it and they obviously didn't stand a chance, lost easily.

I would assume that CP3 will finish rest of his career without a ring, that's just given at this moment.

Suns will not do that great for a long time too, the owner is a cheap one unwilling to pay luxury tax, so we all know that he will just let the team tank for a while and get some draft picks and hope that would work.

Flagg had his best game of the season today with 29 points on 12-19 shooting. But keep in mind it was against the Pelicans, who are struggling too. What I’ve noticed lately is Dallas has been winning games, so I’m starting to see a bit of hope that their playoff chances might get revived once Davis comes back.

Hopefully Flagg keeps this level of consistency because the team really needs him right now with Davis and Irving both in recovery.

I think the Mavs give Flagg the green light so he can do whatever he wants to, so he can develop this season. The rest of the team though they will tell to keep it down since they won't achieve anything this season anyway. Their best bet is losing, plain and simple. With a roster like this you can get into the playoffs, not if Kyrie and AD are down for an extended time. I even saw a report yesterday that Kyrie is already ready to play, but they keep it under reps and tell the media he can be back around allstar weekend. Guess they really want to loses and rebuild -> hoping for yet another good draft pick.

It does seem that way, because in the past few games Flagg’s stats have been getting better and the good thing is they’re actually winning. So this young guy is now looking like the face of the team, the new star. Honestly, I thought his chances for ROY already dropped a lot because of his rough start, but now that he’s been given the green light like you said, it’s expected his numbers will keep improving.

Has anyone here bet on him to win ROY? Or is the market still open in the sportsbooks right now?

The Mavs won't pick him as their first if he's got no potential. Just like Wemby, they're still young in the league but the more they will get more experience, the better games are ahead of them. Yes, he's still young and there's more to it but when he becomes a good player and fruitful, a possible trade might happen just like what they did to Luka when they're about to pay him max contract but declined to.

Nah, the Mavs have a pretty slim chance of making the playoffs because there's a lot of competition. I think they can only compete for a spot in the play-in tournament. As for Cooper, he should keep playing at the same pace. He still needs some time to gain enough experience and significantly improve his skills.

Agree on this, Mavs is too hopeless with their current injury prone roster. They can’t rely much to AD since he is struggling even just to complete half of the regular games while Irving might come back from injury next year January to February as per report.

Hahaha. It’s just I’m one of those supporter that too hype with their roster during the Cooper Flagg draft but in reality it’s all useless if all the key players are injured.

Max Christie should be the one to step up but he is so inconsistent when he has the chance to show off.

They won today because they are against the weakest team on the NBA right now.

Even though Durant and Şengün weren't at their best, the game still came down to the final ball. This shows that the Rockets actually have good depth. Jabari Smith Jr., Amen Thompson and Reed Sheppard carried the team today. Jokić was his usual self, Murray played the end of the game well. There were some strange referee decisions in the final minutes of the last quarter with consecutive foul calls. It affected the flow of the game a bit. We watched 2 strong teams from the West. This may have been a preview of a potential Western Conference semi-final.

I think we saw a very good endgame. Even in a game where Alperen wasn't playing well, they might have won the game thanks to Jabari Smith's last-second three-pointer.
Jokic is a very, very good player, and of course, he dominated this game and led the way with 34 points.
Alperen Şengün's buzzer-beater attempt in the final seconds was fantastic. I thought it was a basket for a moment, but it was a missed shot. They don't always play well, and that can happen some days, so it's okay

Fans hate them for doing that to Luka and if they'll going to repeat that same mistake to Cooper I guess they won't see or feel any support from thier fans, though Niko was replacecd I hope the managements already learned about that mistake letting Luka go instead of giving him the max conract they almost win a title before Brunson  was traded and with Kyrie they start getting along just need one more season and if they keep him and renew another contract with that super max they might be a good contender for the ring again, moving forward let see if what's going to happen before the trading deadline if they'll be trading their players to support Cooper.

He was part of the one of the biggest decisions in the history of the nba. In 2011, the Los Angeles Lakers almost traded for Chris Paul. However, then-NBA commissioner David Stern, acting as the Hornets' owner, vetoed the deal. I think this was extremely f'd up. That deal was ok to become a reality. We saw crazier deals after that. Maybe in 2011 it was little bit unusual but so many crazier deals happened since. When some mentions Chris Paul, I always remember that deal.

Suns are good now but it is extremely hard for them to get the title IMO.

You’re right about this, This is what I’m thinking since they are building around Cooper to be the new Luka that’s why they dedicate all their games to developed this young player.

So far, he is doing good for a rookie but not that explosive that can carry a team to a win with his effort alone that’s why Mavs is still struggling even if Cooper is performing good.

The risky part on Mavs is there’s no certainty that Kyrie and AD can stay healthy once they came back from injury.

It is true that Sengun had a bad game, but it happens to everyone, even the best players have bad days and we just need to move on from that. If Alperen gets upset and focuses and gets stuck on this game then he is going to have a few bad games in a row, he needs to learn to forget.

There was even a commercial about NBA players having a 30 second memory, and the joke was Pippen said he was the best Chicago Bulls player ever, why does that matter? Because all players, Jordan, Kobe, Lebron all have bad days, you gotta move on and be better next time. Their correction is too late already when they have let go of Luka. While the fans move on, they'll never forget what they did to him. And so if another star of their franchise stays there for so long and hoping to be the face of the team, and if they start to do something like this again. Edwards need to be investigated lol. That was a huge choke but I think it's kudos to the Suns defense, those guys are a pests tbh. If you see the game of Edwards and Randle those are lame plays with them, it was a mismatched now that Booker was fouled out yet they choke in the last moment, much more it was a NBA Cup, they should have done more.
